Yonko's Challenge: Whitebeard
Ace started his journey at a very young age and quickly made a name for himself. He was offered the position of a warrior of the sea, but he declined, as his ambitions were much greater than that. His goal was to become the strongest pirate in the world, and he decided to do just that by going after Whitebeard himself. Ace didn't hold back when Yonko was in front of him. He challenged and lost. This was the first of many times he was defeated by Whitebeard.

Gecko Morea
Moriya, in his prime, was a force to be reckoned with and a very powerful pirate who stood up against Kaido. He fought and fought against Yonko. At the same time, his crew was killed, which affected him deeply and changed his attitude towards the crew members. Monkey D. Luffy
Wano was the turning point of the series where fans got to see Luffy square off against Yonko. Luffy's first encounter against Kaido showed a huge power gap between the two, and when they fought, it was the first of many defeats Luffy would suffer at the hands of Yonko. Luffy has suffered a total of three defeats. The first defeat came at Kuri, and the second and third came on the roof of Onigashima.

Akanu was first introduced during the Summit Battle of Marineford, where he showed that he was no pushover. He was an admiral who was constantly fighting against Whitebeard and trying to kill him. Akanu had the upper hand in the battle due to Whitebeard's poor health. But, after killing Ace, Akane faces the full wrath of Whitebeard, and is brutally attacked by the Yonko, which shatters the island itself.

Kozuki Oden
Oden, upon his return to Wano, was in complete disbelief at what had happened to his beloved country. He directed his anger towards Orochi, but the latter made a deal with him, which he accepted. When the time came, Orochi didn't uphold his end of the deal. Oden realizes that he must fight to save the people and the country. Oden fought against Kaido and had the upper hand, but a small distraction cost Oden the fight and he lost.

Yonko's Challenge: Big Mom
During the Whole Cake Island arc, Brooke was tasked with retrieving one of the Road Poneglyphs that belonged to Big Mother. Her plan didn't go as planned, and this led Big Mom to confront her. Brooke, instead of running, chose to stand against the Emperor. The fight was short in which Brook was defeated, but he won the hearts of the fans. At the same time, he also managed to steal her rubing of Poneglyphs and became the arc's MVP.

Nine Red Scabbards
Kozuki Oden's retainers wanted two things in Wano — to defeat Kaido and bring peace back to Wano. They chanced upon the roof of Onigashima, where they battled for ages, and even Kaido was amazed at the power they possessed.
