Four undisclosed details Lego Pokemon The sets have been leaked online, listing their prices and piece counts, while repeating some previously reported information. Aside from sharing the same theme, the leaked sets have one key detail in common: they're reportedly traditional kits that aren't designed with LEGO's new Smart Play platform in mind.
LEGO officially introduced its Smart Play offerings in early January 2026. Presented as an evolution of the company's iconic toys, the platform focuses on multi-sensor bricks that can detect their position, orientation, light, sound or other LEGO elements, allowing them to respond by playing sounds, flashing lights or both. A new LEGO Pokemon theme is expected to lead the Danish toymaker's Smart Play push, according to several prior reports from reliable leaks. However, first of all Pokemon The sets LEGO revealed were not Smart Play-capable, and more such offerings are reportedly on the way.

More LEGO Pokemon set prices and piece counts leaked online
A January 23 report from established leaker lego_minecraft_goat shared some new details about the upcoming four Pokemon Sets from LEGO, all of which are called traditional kits without Smart Play functionality. The most affordable set is number 72510, reportedly featuring 757 pieces and slated to retail for around $69.99. The same source expanded on previous reports about the 72160 set, attaching a piece count of 1,190 and a $99.99 price tag to the rumored kit. Set 72168 contains fewer pieces—1,038—but will reportedly cost $129.99. The final leaked kit is described as a massive build with 2,339 pieces, priced at $259.99. This puts it in the same range as the recently revealed LEGO Pikachu and Poke Ball set, which has 2,050 pieces and is currently available for pre-order for $199.99. The list also includes three age ratings, most of which were leaked back in November. The exception is the rating for set 72160, which was previously listed as 7+ but has now been revised to 6+.

More traditional possibilities Pokemon The sets may be welcome news to longtime collectors, some of whom have recently expressed skepticism about Lego's Smart Play line. Its reveal prompted mixed reactions online, with some fans seeing it as primarily aimed at children, while others criticized LEGO's “tech-fication” of traditionally analog toys, which are already a relatively expensive hobby without sensors, batteries, or NFC tags. Compounding the issue, LEGO is only planning a limited Smart Play rollout this year, so not all collectors interested in the new sensor-equipped sets may be able to purchase them in the immediate future.
However, an important part of Lego's 2026 Lego Pokemon The line is rumored to be Smart Play-focused. Limited details on ten such products leaked online earlier in December, describing a diverse array of products, including at least one Pokemon-sized house, two evolution illustrations, and a battle between Zolteon and Charizard.

Based on recent social media reactions, many fans have expressed disappointment that all three previously revealed LEGO Pokemon sets focus on large brick-built models instead of minifigures. Given the wide range of sizes between different Mon species, this trend may continue, possibly because LEGO determined that its traditional minifig molds could not provide enough character detail.
The first three LEGO Pokemon sets – 72151 Eevee, 72152 Pikachu and Poke Ball, and 72153 Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise – are scheduled for release on February 27. Next, a big wave of products is expected to drop on August 1, but the official announcement may take at least a month or two. The recently leaked sets are all rumored to be part of that summer batch.
