When one likes shonen anime My Hero Academia Crammed in a large cast of characters, there won't be enough room for everyone to have a strong arc, or a meaningful ending. On the plus side, cast members like Ochako Uraka, Himiko Toga, Shoto Todoroki, and Deku had emotionally resonant and satisfying performances. They have come a long way and sending jobs meant everything to them. The anime also has several cast members who just disappeared and had weak endgames in their arcs.
Such a thing is inevitable, and fans wouldn't mind if minor characters like Mustard and X-Lace had less than stellar endings. But it's a problem when more popular and substantial characters don't get the endings they deserve, which makes things feel like a complete loose end. A well-deserved ending doesn't have to be happy or positive, either—it just has to be adequate and close the book firmly on a character arc. Whether these characters deserved a “happily ever after” or not, they still deserve a better ending. My Hero Academia Anime gave them.

Instead, what the overhaul needed was a more effective and thought-provoking ending where he reflects on his life experiences. He was raised in the yakuza lifestyle, rose to the top of the criminal underworld, then lost almost everything.

Overhaul's losses were many, from the loss of his criminal empire to the loss of his weapons and with them his Quirk factor. He screamed in pain as Tomura broke his weapon, but otherwise, Overhaul's on-screen reaction to his defeat was limited. Fans want to look into his haunted mind to see what's going on, whether it's resentment, self-doubt, or a futile desire for redemption or happiness in this new era of his life. An ideal ending leaves the overhaul with a “What have I done?” A moment of self-reflection, realizing that his bad luck happened because he embraced the mobster life.

Magne wasn't a heteromorph, but she was a trans woman who needed a way to feel better about who and what she was. My Hero Academia Magne was given a brief flashback touching on the matter as she talked to a friend who understood it, but otherwise, the anime did little with the character. Magne didn't need to survive the story intact, but he needed a bit more time to flesh out his arc as a misunderstood villain before his final defeat. As things stand now, Magne's ending is an example of “bury your gays” and the character needs more than that.
Tensei Iida recovered from his injuries but never resumed his career

Tensei Iida was treated well in the prequel anime series My Hero Academia: VigilanceWhere he dazzled anime fans with his speed and teamwork during his golden era as a popular pro hero. Tensei was at the top of his game as the original Ingenium, and he certainly impressed the vigilante hero Koichi Haimawari. Such a story strengthened Tensei's character arc as a whole, but it didn't change the character's iffy ending in the main anime.

Tensei's ending was a bad one, he was little more than a handyman for the hero assassin Stan. Fortunately for the Iida family, Tensei survived and made the most of his unwanted retirement, but still feels vulnerable. Tensei failed so Tenya's own success might shine brightly, but a zero-sum game like that might not satisfy. My Hero Academia fans. The anime didn't have to preserve Tensei's hero career, but it should have done a little more than reduce Tensei to a cameo character. For example, Tenshi could use his words and personal example to motivate Tenya and the rest of the Class 1-A students along with himself in the “talk jutsu” trope.

Re-Destro was introduced on screen as a rival of Tomura Shigaraki as the powerful and influential leader of the Meta Liberation Army in the My Villain Academia arc. MLA was a massive organization with many Quirks at its command, and Re-Destro led the pack with his impressive Stress Quirk. Ri-Destro and his allies put up a good fight against Tomura's own team, but after that, Ri-Destro dropped the ball.

These weak quirks would be OP if they were awakened in My Hero Academia.
The story suggested that Re-Destro graciously shared leadership of the Paranormal Liberation Front with Tomura, but in reality, Tomura was running the show. Re-Destro did very little as co-commander of that army of villains, and he certainly didn't get enough screen time to fight anyone else. My Hero Academia Re-Destro wasn't given a moment of introspection, self-doubt, or anger as his villainous empire crumbled. Instead, Re-Destro was quietly pushed out of the story, and that's pretty low. He should have been Tomura's worthwhile counterpart and a menace to society, not an employer.
Midnight died a valiant death but deserved more screen time earlier
Midnight's personal arc went nowhere
The R-rated pro hero Midnight received a decent amount of screen time My Hero Academiais an anime and interacted with many cast members from Shota Aizawa to Minoru Mineta to Mina Ashido. She also took part in a simulated heist for training practice, a role she enjoyed. thus, My Hero Academia Almost did Midnight Justice, but not quite. Her character arc was almost entirely defined by her playful antics, but there wasn't enough substance to round things out.
It was fun seeing Midnight serve as a referee at the UA Sports Festival and fight to the death against the Paranormal Liberation Front, but her arc needed more between those events. Midnight needed a chance to expand her most meaningful relationships, including her self-image, to make her more than eye candy. The My Hero Academia: Vigilance The anime helped with flashbacks to Midnight's student days, but the main anime had to do most of the heavy lifting.
Ageshot gave up everything to save Bakugo's life at the last minute
The ninja hero didn't fight hard enough before his sacrifice
Ninja-themed pro hero Edgeshot is an example of someone who gets exactly one chance to show off in battle before being written off. Got Edgeshot only Enough screen time to showcase his fighting style as an elite hero who can take out Nomu and other threats by binding his body to a thread, but the anime should have done more with him. When pro heroes were at their most desperate and needed all hands on deck, Edgeshot was nowhere to be seen.
Edgeshot's finale was a strange and possibly controversial one, with him turning his Foldabody Quirk into a life-saving device to save Katsuki Bakugo. On the one hand, it's fun to see Quirks being used in creative and resourceful ways, which is flattering My Hero AcademiaThe combat system. Still, that was an odd use for the foldabody quirk, and it's a shame to see a top-rated ninja hero written off as Bakugo's last-minute plot armor. It's possible that Edgeshot could one day recover and resume his heroics, but that leaves a lot to the imagination. what's more, My Hero Academia Edgeshot wasn't given enough dialogue or flashbacks to flesh out his arc as that arc closed.
