Home of the Dragon Introduced fans to many interesting characters, especially those of the Targaryen family. Of course, this entire series revolves around the civil war within House Targaryen, the Greens, and the Blacks.
At this time, House Targaryen was at the peak of its power, with many powerful dragon riders. Fans have already seen many riders and dragons fighting together in the series and showcasing the strength of their bond. However, out of all of them, only a handful can stand at the very top.
Baela-Moondancer
Bella is the daughter of Prince Daemon Targaryen and Lana Valyrian. She bonds with Moondancer at a young age and the two are very attached to each other. They make a fantastic pair and can take down the vast majority of riders in battle.
Baela is incredibly powerful with Moondancer. In fact, fans have already seen what she's capable of, and later in the series, she's definitely going to fight in more amazing battles that are sure to highlight her strength as an incredible dragonrider, as well as her bond with Moondancer.
Aegon II-Sunfire
Aegon II TargaryenWhoever captured Rhaenyra Targaryen may not be the strongest, but she makes a formidable pair with her dragon, Sunfyre. Fans know Sunfire as the most majestic dragon seen in Game of Thrones history.
Although not the biggest or strongest, Sunfire is still powerful, and with Aegon, Sunfire is nearly unstoppable. Their connection is actually quite special and that's what makes them such an exciting pair in battle.
Rhaenyra-Syrax
Rhaenyra Targaryen bonded long ago with SyraxAnd it's safe to say that she's one of the most special dragonriders that fans have seen in the story.
in fact, Rhaenyra was the first dragonrider that fans saw Home of the DragonSyrax is the first dragon to appear in the series. Rhaenyra and Syrax form a special bondAnd it's almost like they're connected telepathically. Both feel pain together, they are one in the face of any danger.
Rhaenys-Meleys
Of all the dragons fans have seen in House of the Dragons, Meleys remains the fastest of them all. She is also very old, which makes her a ferocious dragon in battle. Maelys was ridden by Rhaenys TargaryenAnd fans know these two to be very special.
Together, they can take down even the most ferocious foes, but fans need to keep in mind that none of them are the strongest individually, or as a pair, in the series.
Aemond-Vhagar
Aemond Targaryen and Vhagar make a formidable pair He is easily one of the strongest in Westeros. It is a fact that Vygar is the strongest dragon in Westeros at the moment, because it is the strongest survivor that has survived many battles, and is also the largest living now. Vygar can swallow a dragon whole, and burn down a city in minutes. It is truly a fearsome dragon and certainly the most powerful force in all of Westeros right now.
However, Aemond's bond with Vygar isn't as strong, and there are many better dragon-rider bonds that fans have seen in the series. Still, Aemond can outrun anyone, and being defeated in battle is almost out of the question for them. All anyone can do against them is either team up with someone else to defeat them, or tie the fight in some way. Otherwise, both Aemond and Vhagar are unbeatable.
Demon-Caraxes
Daemon Targaryen and Caraxes are a powerful duo and certainly one of the most dangerous in Westeros.. Caraxes is neither the largest nor strongest dragon in Westeros. However, it is definitely the toughest. The Bloodwyrm is ridden by Daemon Targaryen, who mirrors his own personality, and together, the two share a bond beyond all understanding.
While Caraxes may not be the strongest on his own, with Daemon, he is a force to be reckoned with, as even Vhagar and Aemond could not go on to defeat them, despite a force advantage in battle. Quite frankly, Damon and Carax are the most dangerous dragonrider-dragon duo fans have seen in the entire House of Dragons so far. Of course, as the series continues, fans will get to see more of these powerful couples, which can be added here.
