Hashirama brought peace to the warring kingdoms

Since they were children, Hashirama and Madara have participated in various tournaments where Hashirama's skill, intelligence, and strategy have allowed him to repeatedly defeat Madara.
Fast-forward to the future, Hashirama never lost a fight with Madara while alive. Even after Madara gained the Nine Tails and the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, every attempt to claim supremacy failed. All his efforts came to nothing, which speaks volumes about Hashirama's godly abilities.

It's hard to resist a humble and grounded Hokage like Hashirama, who remains humble and relatable despite his overwhelming power. At first glance, he seems like a cold, hard ninja with no warmth, but underneath the tough exterior, he is kind and dedicated to protecting everyone in Konoha.
It is funny that someone like him loves gambling, revealing an unexpected side of his personality. He's also easily frustrated, making it fun to watch him switch moods throughout the series from feeling confident to feeling anxious.
Who would have thought that someone with Hashirama's abilities had a quirky side to him? He literally has the power to change the course of the world in his prime, yet he never lets it go to his head or consume him. Instead, he puts his power to good use, even though the next generation of corrupt ninjas misused his DNA to get a taste of his overwhelming power.
Hashirama had not sought the Hokage position
Unlike Naruto Uzumaki, whose lifelong dream was to become Hokage, Hashirama initially did not want the position. Instead, he wanted to give the position to Madar, believing that he was suitable to lead the village.
Hashirama thought Madara's leadership would benefit Konoha the most. He was willing to carve Madara's face into Hokage Rock as soon as possible to immortalize his friend's legacy.
However, as fans know, Hashirama eventually assumed the role of Hokage after he was voted in by the public. This was believed to be his way of giving Madara trust and respect in hopes of strengthening the relationship between the Uchiha and Senju clans.
