Fumikage Tokoyami – Ragnarok
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 265, “Villains and Heroes” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 116, “A Judgment” |
Quiet and not one to draw attention to himself, Tokoyami isn't the brightest student at UA High School, but his Dark Shadow Quirk definitely makes him stand out on the battlefield. While it may not be as glaring as the quirks of some of his classmates, the Dark Shadows series features one of the strongest UA student quirks.
Tokoyami's Ragnarok technique reflects how powerful and chaotic the Dark Shadow quirk can be. This technique requires the area being used to be dark enough to be effective, but when in the right environment, Tokoyami uses an extended version of the Dark Shadow to force his opponent to use so much force that it can destroy almost anything. Ragnarok is not only strong, but it is also very versatile. Tokoyami uses an alternate version of the attack called “Womb” which uses an extended dark shadow to trap his opponents. There's also his Fleeting Blow technique, which uses both Ragnarok and his Black Abyss technique to combine for a devastating one-two punch.
Tamaki Amajiki – Plasma Cannon
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 361, “Extraordinary Events” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 149, “Light Feeds to Rain” |
As far as quirks go, Tamaki Amajiki's (or Suneater if you're using his hero name) Manifest quirk is about as unique as it gets. The Quirk allows Suneater to manipulate different parts of his body depending on what type of food he eats. So eating something with an octopus in it allows him to reveal tentacles and such. This is an interesting and versatile ability in itself, but Suneater manages to kick things up a notch with its Plasma Cannon technology.
By manifesting the properties of each food item he consumes, he is able to unleash a massive plasma blast with the help of Nejire's Quirk. While the attack makes him stuck in place when shot, it's such a devastating move that it compensates for the lack of mobility. It's definitely not something you'd think someone with Tamaki's quirk could pull off, which shows how special his abilities are.
Nejire Hado – Nejire Flood
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 290, “Dabi's Dance” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 124, “Dabi's Dance” |
Another member of the Big 3, Nejire is one of the strongest students at UA High School. Her Wave Motion Quirk allows her to convert her life force into energy, which she can project out as a wave. This is a great long-range quirk that lets him take on stronger enemies effectively.
Nejire's ultimate move, Nejire Flood, is a supercharged version of her Quirk that can be absolutely devastating to an opponent if they find the other side of it. The ability is basically just Nejire charging his quirk to the max and sending out a massive energy wave. It's pretty straightforward as far as finishing moves go, but it will definitely work against most opponents.
Mirio Togata – The Phantom Menace
|
Manga Debut |
Episode 150, “Mirio Togata” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 74, “Lemillion” |
It's easy to see why Nighteye saw Mirio as the successor to All Might when it came time to pass the legendary hero's torch. Not only is Miryo an incredibly talented quirk user, but her infectiously cheerful personality is exactly what people look for in a potential No. 1-ranked pro hero. Having mastered both her and her father's permutation quirk, Mirio ended up as the strongest of UA's Big 3.
Mirio's Phantom Menace final move shows just how creative he can get with his quirks. Mirio needs to be close to his target to land an attack, using his Quirk to move in and out of the surrounding area and bombard his opponent with blows. Not only does his constant movement through matter make it difficult to detect and avoid attacks, but Mirio's strength allows him to easily overpower his opponents, leaving them in a difficult spot.
Shoto Todoroki – Great Glacial Edger
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 352, “Final Moves” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 146, “Two Flashfires” |
There is no doubt that Shoto is one of the strongest students in Class 1-A. His incredibly unique half-cold half-hot quirk makes him an incredibly versatile fighter, and he's managed to maximize the potential of his quirk by bringing a variety of different techniques. Of all the moves Shoto used, none were as powerful as his Great Glacial Ajir.
Charging both his fire and ice abilities, Shoto closes the gap between him and his opponent, moving in close and striking them while covering the surrounding area in ice. This move is so strong that Shoto was able to use it to keep out the hell Dabi created with his Blueflame quirk during the final battle.
Katsuki Bakugo – Howitzer Effect: Cluster
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 358, “The Boy Who Made Some Progress” |
|
Anime Debut |
Episode 148, “Wounded Hero, Burning Light and Truth!!” |
Bakugo's explosive quirk certainly matches his fiery personality. Bakugo's explosion quirk allows him to release highly volatile sweat from his palms, which he uses to create powerful explosive blasts. Bakugou's skill has created numerous techniques in an attempt to get the most out of his abilities. One that stands out the most is his Howitzer Effect: Cluster ultimate move.
This move is an improved version of his standard Howitzer Impact technique, which propels him forward at high speed in a circular motion by creating various explosions behind him. Howitzer Impact: The cluster is a supercharged version of the original, with a wider area of effect, and turns into a massive flaming effect that most villains don't stand a chance against.
Izuku Midoriya – Detroit Smash: Quintuple
|
Manga Debut |
Chapter 369, “A Chain of Events, Across the Ages” |
|
Anime Debut |

Being as enthusiastic about quirks as he is, Deku has come up with various techniques trying to master the quirk given to him by his idol. While Deku certainly borrows a lot from All Might, he's managed to add his own spin on things.
Deku's Detroit Smash: Quintuple ultimate move is a devastating attack that uses the Gearshift quirk through One for All. Once he uses Gearshift on himself, Deku targets his opponent and hits him with five consecutive Detroit Smashes. The raw power of the technique would be too much for most to handle, and Deku made great use of it in his fight against Shigaraki during the final battle.
