Battlefield 6 Season One drops on October 28th, and with new additions coming down the pipe not long after, it's clear that DICE and Battlefield Studios have come to play with new additions to its arsenal. The first of a three-part season called Rogue Ops adds three new weapons for players to play with, and while each has its strengths, one will make players very happy. A new sniper rifle is coming Battlefield 6 Season One is on track to be the best in the game.
Homage to Battlefield 4The fastest bolt action rifle, the Scout Elite, the Mini Scout Sniper Rifle is a faster, smaller weapon that has a lot more viability for a recon looking to do some damage behind enemy lines. In fact, given the smaller map sizes Battlefield 6It can be even stronger. That's just one of the reasons why Weapons has the potential to win big when it's released alongside Season One, though.
Battlefield 6 is getting a new best sniper rifle
important thing for Battlefield 6 Players should note when using Mini Scout Sniper that it is fast in every sense. It chambers quickly, reloads quickly, has a fast target downsight speed, and it is more mobile than any other rifle in its class. In theory, that speed comes at the cost of shot speed and damage, but for some reason, that trade is completely negated in practice.
First, this low damage number doesn't apply to headshot damage, or at least it doesn't apply to the Season One preview event. Two new maps have been added Battlefield 6 Season One is big, some of the biggest ever, yet from every range, the Mini Scout Sniper was getting one-shot headshots thanks to the same 1.75x headshot multiplier that every other sniper has. Also, given the aim of most snipers battlefield Games are all about snagging headshots, the occasional body shot damage difference is completely negligible.
The Mini Scout has even more upsides
Another potential hang-up with the Mini Scout is its bullet speed, but that's not really much of a hang-up. It has a base muzzle velocity of 880 meters per second, which looks slow in a vacuum, but is actually the second-fastest in the game behind the M2010 ESR. Battlefield 6The default sniper. Throw in an extended barrel, and muzzle velocity becomes a non-issue.
Additionally, it has the hardest recoil of any sniper in the game so far, a ten-round magazine, and a fast rate of fire. It's a lot to like in a sniper; It's fast, light, deadly, and it works best for Recon players who want to get up close and personal. There is really only the opposite when it comes to weapons, however Battlefield 6 Players eagerly awaiting the release of Season One should beware, as that doesn't mean it won't be a hassle in other ways.
Unknown variables surrounding Battlefield 6's mini scout
An important element in the reception of this new weapon depends on how it ends up in the player's hands. In playtest the gun was ready to go with all attachments readily available, but with no strings attached there is zero chance it will be readily available on day one. That's a good thing in general, but unlocking weapons Battlefield 6 Not exactly a walk in the park, as anyone who has tried to unlock PSR may already know.
Battlefield 6 It's already received a lot of criticism for how it handles weapon and equipment unlocks and how long its challenges are, so the Mini Scout could fall victim to the same perceived problems. The lines are blurred by the new Battlefield 6 Season's Battle Pass. As yet to be fully revealed, it will include some or all of the blueprints available for the weapon.
Season One's new choice-based Battle Pass might also be how the actual base weapon is unlocked to begin with, which, as far as Battle Passes in other similar games go, wouldn't be unusual.
Mini Scout is sure to be another meta pick for Recon players
Ultimately, those unanswered questions about how the Mini Scout will unlock may not be enough to slow the pace of the new weapon. In sniper weapons class Battlefield 6 Short on options, so any news is good news when it comes to new additions. It also doesn't hurt that this particular addition looks like it'll be in the best category at least for the foreseeable future.
