Long-time Zombies fans will no doubt understand that Power Creep is nothing new, but one within the map Call of Duty: Black Ops 7Treyarch seems to have set a new ceiling. Few Wonder weapons in the mod's long history have blended raw damage, utility, and mechanical value as effectively as Ashes of the Damned's newest toy, and none have looked so stylish while doing it. It may have some quirks, but once Black Ops 7 As players learn how to work around them, it becomes clear that the Necrofluid Gauntlet is one of the most blatantly overpowered Wonder weapons in years.
The Necrofluid Gauntlet is an S Tier Wonder weapon
Ashes of the Damned's Necrofluid Gauntlet is a nasty-looking claw with dark liquid “ammunition” that can be reshaped into high-speed magnetic spikes. Players can either draw enemies up close or skewer targets and return those same spikes towards the gauntlet, piercing enemies again on the return flight. Even before you factor in its scaling ability at higher rounds, it performs several high-value roles at once.
What actually makes it Black Ops 7who Necrofluid Gauntlet S-tier is the fact that players can sit at 350 HP with infinite ammo. Additionally, while it remains unconfirmed, it appears that the returning spikes deal infinite damage. This puts the Gauntlet on par with the iconic CoD Corpse weapons like the jet gun, thunder gun, and apothecary servant, and that's before considering their limited ammo pools. In all fairness, it does come with a learning curve.
An amazing weapon with a learning curve
While this may come as a con to some, the Necrofluid Gauntlet has some complications. It's not exactly a casual weapon, and it will take some playstyle adjustment to use it optimally, considering the best use is actually shooting the ground and thin mobs with a return of spikes. Once that muscle memory kicks in, however, it's hard to see it as part of the gauntlet's cool factor, especially when those same spikes are offering infinite damage, overhaul, and somehow, more.
Ashes of Damned Wonder Weapons utility is wildly underrated
Although it is not spelled out, the Necrofluid Gauntlet can pull items and power-ups towards the player. That might sound small, but being able to haul max ammo or an insta-kill through a train without exposing yourself is a bit of a luxury. Call of DutyThe wonder weapon has never been offered. Combined with Overhealing, the Gauntlet effectively removes many of the threats that would normally balance out the zombies' strongest tools.
Still, even with all this power, some players will argue that weapons like the Thunder Gun or the Apothecary Servant feel momentarily more efficient. From the point of view of simplicity, that may be absolutely true; Those weapons were point-and-boom solutions that anyone could use. The difference here is both the upper floor and the ceiling, while the Necrofluid Gauntlet can take some getting used to, its infinite utility and survivability potential gives it a peak that older weapons just can't reach.
The Gauntlet's only real weakness: unlocking it
If there is any saving grace for Black Ops 7The 'Zombies' balance, is that getting the gauntlet is honestly a painful process. Its questline includes more dynamic parts, more timed sections, and some stages that are more fiddly than almost anything the mode has asked of players before. The stun grenade went in BO7The zombies, which include Klaus in particular, are dragging players up the wall, as nailing the perfect throw angle is much more frustrating than this.
This difficulty isn't inherently a bad thing, however, given how powerful this Wonder Weapon is, it stands to reason that the process of unlocking it should be commensurate with its power. The only real pain point is that the final stage turns into a tight ring of fire combat that demands perfect execution with the gun you're trying for the first time. Both enemy aggression and positional pressure are intense, and failure can bring down the entire game.
finally, Black Ops 7's Necrofluid Gauntlet is one of the few instances where the weapon's power feels earned, though. Considering the gauntlet in particular feels like a deliberate attempt to redefine what a late-round wonder weapon can be, even if its power level does require a step down the line. It does more than almost anything else, and because of that (and a serious cool factor), it's a contender for best Zombies weapon. With Ashes of the Damned out, it will be interesting to see some more Zombies Wonder Vehicles thrown into the discussion.
