Fans saw how among the corrupt marines, The dragon was the only one who wanted to help the slaves and children of God Valley.
Unfortunately, this selflessness and humanity got him into trouble with the Marines and the World Government, and he paid the price. After the end of the events in God's Valley, Monkey D. Dragon captured. He was placed in an underground detention center at Marine Headquarters for insubordination.
Thanks to the dragon, however, He was soon freed by his father, Monkey D. Garp. After being released The Dragon Marines go to leave.
Monkey D. Dragon's God Valley experience changed him
Monkey D. was a completely changed person after witnessing what happened in the Dragon God Valley. The World Government, and in turn, the Marines, were not the good guys. The world government is hunting slaves and harming innocents and children.

Monkey D Dragon created the Freedom Fighters after God Valley
It is not known what exactly the dragon did after the God Valley incident. However, it is fair to assume that, long after leaving the Marines, he started a resistance group known to fans as the Freedom Fighters, and they operated against the World Government. In a fragmented story 22 years ago, he was still a freedom fighter, as seen through a Vegapunk flashback.
Dragon eventually founded the Revolutionary Army
The Freedom Fighters are the group that would spawn the Dragons' current organization, the Revolutionary Army. The exact year of its creation is not clear, but it was about 21 years ago, after the dragon met Kuma.
The revolutionary army is now the greatest threat facing world governments. Recently, they led an attack on Marizoa to free Kuma.
Fans can't wait to see Dragons and the true potential of the revolutionary army in a piece. It's only a matter of time before Oda focuses on them once again, Marizoa is already under attack, and the dragon is likely at the center of it all.
