Use this OP Black Ops 7 Zombies cursed strategy while you still can

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7The Cursed Mode has, as expected, proven to be a huge hit among longtime fans. While it doesn't remove every modern mechanic criticized by old-school players, features like armor are still present, it's similar to older mods for using a traditional points system and other features. With the acquisition of points working differently, and the prices of purchases like Pack-A-Punch being raised to accommodate the change, having a point weapon is once again essential.

New CoD Zombies players who only get into games like Zombies Black Ops Cold War, Black Ops 6and Black Ops 7 One may not be familiar with the concept of point weapons, as racking up points in modern games is all about accuracy and headshots. However, with the old system, the goal is to deal as much damage as possible without actually killing the undead. There have been some iconic point weapons over the years, be it the MP40 on the Kino der Totten wall or the Tommy gun on the mob of the dead. but, Black Ops 7The biggest point of the gun beats them all, and it's so good at Cursed that players should expect a nerf sooner rather than later. Said weapon is none other than the Akita Shotgun, and cursed fans must use it while on top of the mountain.

Why is Black Ops 7's Akita so good at Shotgun Curse?

Black Ops 7The Ko Akita Shotgun shines because of its unique feature: its fully automatic nature. Unlike the pump action M10 Breacher or the two-round burst Echo 12, players can hold the trigger on the Akita and let fly through all of its ammo, pumping it into hordes of undead. It doesn't deal the most damage in the world, though it's fun to fire, so it's relatively useless against regular zombies. However, one mode's trash is another mode's treasure, as it is the perfect secondary in the early-mid rounds of Cursed games. Each shot of the Akita counts as an individual bullet, and with each bullet cursed to grant 10 points to the zombie, it doesn't take long for the points to really pile up.

As players pump shotgun rounds into groups of enemies, the bullets will hit all targets and penetrate others as well, meaning it won't be long before players rack up thousands of points. After a few rounds of peppering enemies with Akita shots before finishing off with a Wonder Weapon like the Necrofluid Gauntlet or a stronger bullet gun like the M34 Novaline, players will have enough points to fully upgrade their gun and get any perks they need. While players are hopeful that the Akita won't be nerfed, since it makes it desirable to serve this particular purpose in Cursed when it wouldn't otherwise, the fact that it's far better than any other weapon in stat-earning points gives good reason to be concerned about the next balance pass.

Since players can't spawn in Curses with their weapon of choice, since they always start with just one pistol, they usually need to hit a mystery box and hope for the best. However, the Akita is a wall weapon that can be found in Ashwood, allowing cursed players to capture each game in Ashes of the Damned.

Black Ops 7 Season 1 will be a turning point for Akita Shotgun in Cursed

One way or another, the opening session of post-launch content Black Ops 7 will determine whether the Akita grows stronger or experiences a fall from grace. If it is nerfed so that each bullet no longer grants points, then the weapon goes from being meta to cursed to largely avoidable. However, if it is left alone by Treyarch, it will only be more viable thanks to the major additions of Season 1. First, there's Mule Kick, which is debuting as part of the new round-based map Astra Malorum. As always, this perk will allow players to hold three guns at once, meaning they can have a strong bullet weapon, a wonder weapon, and a point weapon on Akita at the same time.

Another addition that will benefit Akita users is one of the new attachments coming in Season 1 that will be unlocked through weekly challenges. Within the launch window for the first season, players will be able to earn the Akita Scorchlink Akimbo attachment. This means that, if Akita somehow survives Cursed Mode unscathed, players will be able to dual wield the best point gun of all zombies. This attachment, when combined with the Dragon's Breath attachment to make it more effective against the Zursa mini-boss, should allow Akita to be an even more viable weapon than before. Players will be able to fire slowly while trying to build up points, or rapid fire in an emergency or trying to kill a bear, making the gun fun and effective to use.

While CoD Zombie loadouts do not exist within Cursed mode, players can use them to set gun builds for weapons. These builds make it so that when players buy a gun from the wall or pull it from a mystery box, it will have their choice of attachment and camo equipped.

Season 1's release date will be the moment of truth for Akita fans, and the case will be made for and against it. Sure, it makes other point guns irrelevant, and being a wall weapon means players can reliably get it in every damn game, but the particularly useful (and weak) weapons help give the gun lineup a distinct identity. Players will soon know if Treyarch intended to flash the Akita into the Cursed or if it was an oversight, as the Season 1 balancing pass will either leave the gun alone or tear it apart. For now, though, Akita Cursed is a very powerful scoring strategy that everyone should enjoy while they're still able.
