Depending on what era you grew up in, you may have a different perspective on LEGO, but we all have some memory of the brick-building brand. Whether it's elaborate sets celebrating popular IPs or making your own creations out of straw pieces, LEGO remains a constant source of entertainment regardless of your age, and a hobby that can be quite expensive. And things are only going to get worse for gamers, as LEGO has big plans for 2026.
There are already some pretty incredible LEGO sets that have been released for gamers over the past few years, from the LEGO Game Boy to countless Fortnite sets. LEGO also created an interactive series of Mario sets that allow you to collect coins as you explore different environments. Minecraft Having been a huge hit for LEGO, the sets are themed after both the games and the movies. But my personal favorite out of all the LEGO gaming sets released so far is LEGO The Legend of Zelda Deku Tree Set. And, in 2026, LEGO has another set planned that should be even more exciting.
LEGO will release a second Legend of Zelda set in 2026
LEGO recently teased LEGO The Legend of Zelda Set it up with a short video featuring some pretty telling details. While LEGO is keeping the official details under wraps, we can guess what the set includes based on that video.
First and foremost, we know that Lego The Legend of Zelda Set to arrive in 2026, but exactly when is not clear. Generally, LEGO announcement time can be about a year before release. That LEGO Game Boy, for example, was first teased in January and not released until October. So, fans hope that Lego The Legend of Zelda The set will be released in the early part of 2026, there is no guarantee. Like the Game Boy set, we might be seeing a tease first, then a full reveal much later, before a full launch a few months after that.
As far as the contents of LEGO The Legend of Zelda On set, the video features Navi hovering over Link over him and a shadow-y figure nearby. Based on the design of his tunic, master sword, and Hylian shield, the assumption is that this link The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeWhich seems like a safe guess given the popularity of that game.
You can also make out Zelda in the background, but she's out of focus, and it's hard to pull out any details from her design. Based on this silhouette, it looks like Zelda grew out of Ocarina of Time.
That shadow, though, is key because it suggests that this LEGO Legend of Zelda set will feature Ganondorf in some form. The shape of the shadow and assuming it will be a complex LEGO set, suggests that it will be Ganon in his final form from Ocarina of Time, but it could also be Ganon in his familiar, Gerudo form.
Anyway, the diorama-like nature of the scene has me very excited about what this Lego is all about The Legend of Zelda Could be set and it is sure to be one of the hot ticket items for the brand in 2026. However, if it's anything like the first one. The Legend of Zelda LEGO sets, fans may want to start saving their money now. The Deku Tree Lego set that was released last year still retails for $299.
It's an incredible Lego set, though, with options to build either a Deku Tree diorama. Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. Depending on which scene you want to create, there's a different Link mini-fig (two for OoT) and a Zelda figure for the BotW look. The Deku Tree also gets a unique look depending on the version you want to create. It's a truly impressive LEGO set, and one that sets the tone for this latest partnership between Nintendo and the brick-building brand.
Along with the complex, expensive set box, it's likely that this second Legend of Zelda LEGO will come at a lower, more affordable price point. But LEGO sets these days are rarely what you'd call cheap, and when they're aimed at older collectors, the price is usually high. If it's just a Link mini-fig, a Zelda mini-fig, and then Beast Ganon that can be a very expensive set. Of course LEGO will put more details and pieces into Ganon, but for comparison, the LEGO Bowser set that is retiring soon was $269.99.
Anyway, LEGO has my attention in 2026, and this is my most anticipated set of the year. I thought the Deku Tree set might be a one-off kind of deal, but I'm glad to see that Nintendo and LEGO are planning more collaborations, even if it's not my wallet.
