Winter has arrived in the Rust Belt thanks to Ark Riders' new Cold Snap update. With the top covered in snow to bring in the festive season, attackers find themselves freezing if they don't remember to stay warm. Update 1.7.0 has brought a lot more to the game, but the best thing about the update is that it's raining blueprints.

The update brings a skill respec option, aim down sight toggle, celebration items, and raider tool customization, along with plenty of balances and fixes, but what players are currently enjoying the most is the massively increased drop rate of Blueprints. Not only are blueprints much easier to find, but you no longer have to fight the Matriarch for the coveted Aphelion blueprint.

The Arc Raiders community is currently celebrating the sudden bloom of Blueprints on Stella Montis. Not only does this mean they'll get to craft new weapons and items, but it will help increase their overall loot value if they choose to start a campaign project. While the patch notes mentioned an increase in their drop rate, players are unsure if it should have increased so significantly.

Apart from regular blueprints, getting one for Aphelion is also very easy. Previously, you had to fight the giant Matriarch in hopes of dropping it, but the update now makes it available on Stella Montis. This will make it much easier for those of you following Aphelion.

Ark Riders must be nominated for at least this GOTY category

Arc Raiders sound design is excellent, and it's a real shame it didn't get a nod at this year's Game Awards.

Another big change this update brings is the ability to reset your skill tree. If you feel like you've followed the wrong branch of the skill tree, you can honor it for a tidy sum of 152,000 coins. It also makes the decision to embark on a campaign and delete your progress much easier, since you don't have to lose all your loot if you want to reset your skills.
