Shanks is the son of Figureland Garling, Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights and newly appointed Godhead of Science and Defense. Like his father, Shanks is also very powerful. In fact, it is possible that Shanks is stronger than Garling. He possesses all three types of Haki, and his control over them is impeccable.
