Naruto Uzumaki is the main protagonist of Masashi Kishimoto's magnum opus. As a main character, Naruto is clearly the strongest and most popular. The author has given Naruto many abilities, which have helped him win many important battles.
Naruto: The 32 Strongest Characters in the Series
These Naruto characters are the strongest ones in the series.
In some instances, Kishimoto assisted the protagonist with plot armor, which is very common in shonen manga. Naruto's author didn't shy away from helping the hero win a battle he didn't fully deserve. Naturally, some of Naruto's undeserved victories left a sour taste in fans' mouths.
This post contains spoilers for Naruto.
Naruto vs Haku
Sasuke saved Naruto's life
Naruto's earliest challenging battle was in the Land of Waves, where he had to fight Zabuza's protégé Haku. The Demon of the Hidden Mist took Haku and raised him as a fighter. He wanted to exploit Haku's powerful Kekei Genkai to gain wealth. After spending so much time under Zabuza's wing, Haku became a deadly assassin who could eliminate his enemies in seconds.
So no one supported Naruto to survive the fight against Haku. The latter was very powerful and always one step ahead of his opponent. For most of the fight, Haku was in cruise control, and at no point did it look like Naruto would win. However, Kishimoto knew he had to keep the hero alive, so Naruto was given a short power-up. Also, he made Sasuke put his body on the line. Otherwise, Haku would have easily won the fight.
Naruto vs. Neji
Kurama came to Naruto's rescue
The Chunin Exams are a special event that takes place in various villages around the world. In Naruto, the exams take place in the Hidden Leaf. Since this is a prestigious competition, the village sends its talented genin to compete. Many genin from the Hidden Leaf also competed in the exams, and Naruto was one of them. The hero was pitted against Neji Hyuuga in the latter part of the Chunin Exams.
Naruto: 8 Most Effective Deaths, Ranked
The Naruto series has featured some truly memorable deaths, but some are more impressive than others.
From the get-go, it was clear that the fight would be exciting, especially after fans saw Neji in action against Hinata. A few minutes into the fight, it became clear that Neji was up against Naruto. The Hyuuga prodigy bombarded Naruto with gentle fist techniques, blocking all of his chakra points. If it had happened to anyone but Naruto, they would have lost. However, Naruto managed to overcome this obstacle.
Naruto Vs Pain
Naruto was saved by Kushina
Naruto may be a Shonen anime, but it is rather philosophical. Many characters in the series live by a certain philosophy that they are unwilling to compromise, and Nagato was one of them. After seeing how those in power ruined lives, he began to believe that the world could find true peace only by understanding each other's pain. Nagato's approach was radical, and he didn't care who he had to kill. Because he was incapacitated, Nagato used six different bodies, known as the Six Paths of Pain.
Everyone had a Rinnegan but could only access it in a certain way. Nagato also used these bodies when he fought Naruto Uzumaki. Despite mastering Toad Sage Mode, Naruto struggled against the pain. In fact, he got help from his dead mother. Needless to say, Naruto got lucky once again.
Naruto vs Obito
Naruto survived because of Obito's weak will
Naruto and Obito were alike in more ways than one. Both were compassionate and never shied away from helping those in need. However, Obito's view of the world changed after Rin's incident. Her death prompted Obito to help Madara and work on Project Tsuki no Mi.
Longest fight in Naruto, ranked
A good feud needs time to blossom, but then again, no one accused Naruto of being short.
Obito's hard work paid off in Naruto Shippuden when he started the Fourth Great Ninja War. Shortly after the war began, Obito became the Ten-Tails Jinchuuriki, gaining an incredible amount of power in the process. With his new abilities, Obito nearly destroyed the Shinobi Alliance. Naruto and his allies tried to fight back, but they weren't able to do much with their skills. So, Naruto changed his approach and tried to talk Obito out of his plan. As expected, Naruto's infamous 'talk-no-jutsu' worked, and Obito decided to give up on his target. Had Obito stayed true to his ideas, Naruto would have been doomed.
Naruto vs. Kaguya
Naruto received a lot of support from his friends
Naruto's fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki was unlike many before. The hero couldn't fight her in 1v1 because she was much stronger than him. So, Naruto needs help from Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura and Obito to have a fighting chance. However, even the entire group did not survive long against Kaguya, as Obito fell victim to her All Killing Ash Bones.
With Obito out of the picture, defeat seemed imminent for Naruto and the rest of Team 7. However, Obito somehow managed to share his eyes with Kakashi, which was the turning point of the battle. Ultimately, Kakashi's latest power-up paved the way for Naruto's victory. If Obito had died as normal as the other characters in the series, Team 7 would have lost, and Kaguya would have reigned supreme.
