Leveling in StarRupture is the same for every character in the game, meaning there is no real difference (in the current version of the game) if players choose a soldier or a biologist. What really matters is that players will increase their proficiency levels in combat, survival, and movement, gaining experience in those three areas and unlocking LEM augment slots once every few levels.
