Pokemon was one of the last major IPs that Lego did not collaborate on due to the Pokemon Company's toy brick deal with Lego's rivals, Mattel. That deal is now over, which means we're about to get our first-ever Pokemon LEGO sets, and now we know what some of those debut sets will look like.
Lego's Pokemon page is officially live, revealing its three debut sets and, as predicted, there's quite a spread when it comes to price and piece count. The headliner is, of course, the Lego Pikachu that has 2,050 pieces and costs $199.99. If you don't want to spend that much there is a Lego recreation of Eevee for $59.99. However, if you're really looking to splash the cash, it turns out those rumors about a $650 Lego Pokemon set were real.
The first Lego sets of Pokemon are here
Yes, if you have $649.99 to spare, you can actually buy a Pokemon set that's basically a commemoration of Gen 1's original fully-evolved starters – Venasaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. The set is 6,838 pieces, ranking it with some of the biggest LEGO sets of all time, and is available for pre-order through the LEGO Store alongside the Pikachu and Eevee sets. All three will be released on February 27, 2026, known to fans of the series as Pokemon Day.
Pokemon has gone ahead and turned into one of the Legends: ZA's least popular Mega Evolutions into a plush
If you love Mega Starmy, you're not allowed to hate Mega Dragonite.
There's a secret fourth set that you might have missed, and there's good news and bad news in that regard. The fourth Pokemon set that Lego has revealed today is a collection of badges. The eight badges you're tasked with collecting in the original Pokemon games. You'd think that, at just 312 pieces, this would be the cheapest set of the four revealed, but that's not the case.
Lego's Pokemon badge collection is a gift with purchase. That means technically, it's free. That's good news. The bad news is that you have to make a purchase to qualify for this “free” gift. While previous GWPs tied to IP are usually tied to any associated set or cash amount, the only way to get Lego's Pokemon badges will be by pre-ordering the $650 Venasaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set.
