Hytale already has a feature Minecraft has fumbled for 17 years (for players like me).

For years, I thought about the concept of A Minecraft-as was unnecessary. To be clear, I'm aware that not everyone feels that working furniture is an obvious omission. Minecraft. Some players share the same opinion as Mojang about the mechanic, feeling that the studio is better off spending its time elsewhere than adding items that clever players can design themselves. However, for me and other fans – ie Hytale Developer HyPixel Studios, which runs the most popular Minecraft server of all time – refusing to add furniture has always been a missed opportunity.

Why is Minecraft against the idea of furniture?

The main argument against furniture is that it is not suitable Minecraft vibe, feeling modified in contrast to fitting well into the game's natural blocky aesthetic. According to Mojang, this actually doesn't match the simplicity of its world since it was the top request addressed on the old feedback page from 2020. But the fear that the furniture will be more detailed than anything currently in the game has never really stopped me. Functional beds exist, and they have done so for ages. Modding is encouraged, and most popular mods add working furniture, so there is an obvious desire for such a mechanic. For players not used to modes, relying on old signposts and slab tactics quickly becomes tiresome, as players are left with tables that take up too much space and can end up with ugly or thin tables that hold nothing. Not to mention the scary looking stairs we had to sit on.

If players can sleep on beds, why is it such a strange idea to let them sit on chairs? Gamers don't have to jump through hoops and create invisible minecarts to live in, because despite so much crafting and building in the game, it's still tedious and unintuitive. All the absurd creations that players come up with using redstones don't suit the supposedly ordinary world. MinecraftWhile they can be incredible, they feel more out of place than something like a sofa. Minecraft It lost its simplicity years ago, with players using Elytra to fly around the map, explore sea temples, and so on. Although other craft-heavy games are modernized when it comes to furniture – think Walheim, ARKAnd now Hytale – Minecraft refuses to follow suit.

Since Mojang clearly stated that furniture was not considered five years ago, and since that statement has been made, I've accepted the assumption that it won't because countless furniture-less updates have been released. That doesn't make it any less frustrating though. I love sitting at the dinner table or relaxing on the couch, and to appreciate the interiors I design, the old “crouch to create the illusion of sitting” strategy is hardly immersive. It would be nice to have a range of different looking tables to use all the stone and wood types available, especially if I could cover them in an assortment of decorations like mine. Minecraft Feels like home. Not everyone who literally makes furniture using the same exact trapdoors and back stairs is as creative as many like to argue, because it doesn't make me feel more clever to copy an unnecessarily complicated building style. Simply put, the current approach to furniture is simply restrictive, boring and ugly.

A bright future lies ahead for furniture at Hytale

After wanting this feature for so long and Mojang refusing to budge, I'm willing to switch to it Hytale A little because of this. Its great combat, RPG progression, or HytaleDinosaurs are a crowd, but it honestly makes such a big difference to me that I can't help but cringe a little. Sure, there's a long way to go – more craftable items like a wonderful wooden bookshelf would be desirable as opposed to needing to scavenge a ton of furniture from outside in the world – but what's out there is already better than this. MinecraftThere is a complete lack of furniture. As an early access game, more and more furniture pieces will surely be added to the world HytaleWhile the ability to hold everything from weapons and armor to potions and books will allow for more detailed builds.

I will always love you MinecraftBut after years of looking at ugly chairs made out of stairs, I'm ready to experience the real deal in a different comfort game. Also, now that Hytale exists (and will hopefully thrive in the years to come), it is less problematic Minecraft Players demand to make their own furniture. Those who like to make their own decorative objects and those who do not care about them actually work Minecraft to play with, while another block builder that caters to the furniture needs of players like me is finally available. It is best that these games are as different as possible, as this ensures that there is a reason to play both. Personally, I can't wait to spend hours decorating a house full of placed objects and small details before finally sitting down and admiring all my hard work.
