It's been almost 20 years since we've had a proper new Turok game. That may soon change as Turok: Genesis is currently in development, and hopefully closer to release than a year from its reveal. While we wait for that release date news, TheGamer can exclusively reveal two creatures you'll meet in the next Turok game via some new Origins Funko Pops.
Nothing more has been revealed about Turok: Origins since its trailer was revealed at the 2024 Game Awards, and the creatures featured in it haven't been turned into Funko Pops. That means the images below are your first looks at the two new creatures you'll be tasked with taking down when you return to the Origins series.
Fair warning, they will be much bigger, scarier, and more terrifying when not in Funko Pop form.
Introducing Turok: Genesis' bearded dragon and armored Lusovenator
Two Creatures of Turok: Origins turned into Funko Pops A bearded dragon, and an armored Lusovenator. The former is a strange-looking bipedal dinosaur that looks a bit like a T-rex if it were hung up, and doesn't look very good, not that t-rexes are all that attractive, but you know what I mean.
No offense to Turok's Bearded Dragon, but it doesn't look like this beast will be all that hard to take down. On the other hand, Lusovenator is probably going to take some taming. Without the armor and despite its Funko-fied appearance, I have a feeling it's going to be a problem for players when they come face-to-face in Origins.
Add armor with what look like cannons to the mix, and you've got yourself facing a very powerful, and very turok, dinosaur. Or use it to your advantage when the opportunity arises. If you manage to get on one side while traveling through the Origins jungle then that bearded dragon doesn't stand a chance against an armored Lusovenator.
Where to find Turok: Origins Funko Pops and how much they will cost
Pops' arrival also strongly suggests that we'll be getting more news about Genesis' arrival very soon. It will be the first new entry in the series since 2008 and will shift from its traditional first-person to third-person perspective. The game is developed by Saber Interactive, a studio that has never worked on a Turok game before, and can be played alone or online in teams of three.
