Major spoilers ahead Dispatch.
Dispatch Now available on the original Switch and Switch 2, it's made quite a splash on the platform — though not for the right reasons. The odd censorship for the game has ensured that its launch has not been smooth sailing, as players are frustrated that explicit content has been removed from the game and there is no option to toggle it back. Per AdHoc, this was done because of Nintendo's family-friendly values, although fans were quick to criticize Nintendo for games with too much adult content – eg. Cyberpunk 2077 – Did not achieve the same level of censorship. Blacking out middle fingers, nudity, and so on in a game aimed at adults is odd, but still, surely some new players will give it a try. Dispatch For the first time on their Nintendo Switch. For those players, here are the most popular decisions DispatchThe biggest choice.
The following information is based on recent playthrough results screens and year-end data shared by AdHoc on social media.
Dispatch: Popular choices in terms of romance
According to statistics, the most popular options in terms of romance are as follows:
- Kiss Blonde Blazer (Episode 1)
- Don't Try to Go with the Blonde Blazer on Her Date (Episode 2)
- Date Unwatchable (Episode 4)
- Put Invisigal on the Team (Episode 7)
- Sorry Invisigal (Episode 7)
- Return Invigil's Kiss (Episode 7)
- Trust the Invisigal and Open Her (Episode 8)
- End with Invisigal (Episode 8)
The most heated debate is between Dispatch Since its release, the player base has been the blonde blazer or the “perfect girl” of the Invisigal game. While both of these romance options are valid for Robert, as players can mold him into an edgier anti-hero befitting the hero of the Invigils or the books that makes sense as a partner for Blazer, one of the two characters is undeniably more popular. According to AdHoc's 2025 data, Invisigal was romanced by 1.9 million players compared to Blazer's 1 million followers. With almost double the number of Invisigal fans, she is clearly the most popular love interest in the game, and there are a few reasons for that:
-
Blazer's early relationship with Phenomaman complicates things and may push players away from him.
-
Invisigal is more forthright and direct with her interest in Robert, including a very revealing scene at the beginning of episode 4 that may have won some players over.
-
Invisigal is the “more important” character in the story, as she is constantly involved in the plot and the biggest impact players can have on their choices can shape her into a hero or villain.
-
AdHoc has openly admitted that it may have favored Invisigal a bit too much, with Blazer regularly playing a background role.
There are a few specific options in these romance options that stand out. While most players respect Blazer's wishes and do not join him on his break-up date with Phenomaman, 54% of players kiss Blazer on the billboard in Episode 1. However, some of those 54% were clearly won over by Invisigal's progress, humor and hidden tenderness, with B73% at the end of the game. Episode 4 compared to 63% of Invisigal. Speaking of Invisigal, most players risked low morale to keep him on the Z-Team (69% saved him from being cut), while 72% forgave him for destroying Robert's suit and 87% of players trusted him in the finale. A staggering 78% of players kissed her back in episode 7, explaining how many ended up with her (or complicated their relationship with Blazer).
Dispatch: Popular options regarding the Z-Team
According to the data, the most popular choices involving the Z-Team are as follows:
- Cut Coup (Episode 3)
- Recruit the Waterboy (Episode 4)
- Tell the Z-Team You're Mecha Man (Episode 5)
For Robert's colleagues and friends, there are three major options worth highlighting. First, there's the matter of who to cut, which favors keeping Sonar firmly in place. Perhaps it's due to his memorable character design, voice actor MoistCr1TiKaL's existing fan base, or Sonar's ability to essentially be two characters in one, but 2.8 million players got rid of Coup compared to 1.6 million who fired Sonar. Perhaps the players were trying to keep Malevola happy as he is a fan favorite who is close to Man-Bat, while Coop has a bond with Punch-Up. However, this is an important distinction.
Next is the toughest competition in the entire game, as it is between recruiting Phenomaman or Waterboy. There's a lot of love for the brooding alien and awkward janitor, explaining how there's currently a 3% difference between them, with Waterboy slightly more popular at 53%. Per Adhoc's year-end figures, 2.3 million gave Waterboy a first shot while 2 million gave Phenomaman a second chance. Not only are both characters likable, but they have notable shortcomings when it comes to gameplay, as Waterboy first joins and Phenomaman's depression mechanic regularly keeps him out of combat. Whether the players were honest with the Z-Team after the bar brawl in episode 5 is another matter, which proved to be an easy choice for many. 84% of players told the truth about Robert's past, so many players have bonded with the roster of villains at this point.
Most players forgive a character who is cut from the team at the end of the game Dispatch Finalist, whoever it is.
Delivery: Popular options regarding the shroud
According to the data, the most popular options regarding the shroud are as follows:
- Shroud Give Both Astral Pulses (Episode 8)
- Spare Shroud (Episode 8)
related choices DispatchIt's fun to examine the villain's shroud. Although the ability to predict almost everything makes Robert's nemesis a significant threat, it seems that the smartest way for many players to handle him is to do something strange that he would never expect. 61% fooled Shroud by giving him fake and real astral pulses. Given that he makes players abandon the fake if they try to bash him directly, this is a great way to draw out the person who killed Robert's father. His fate, however, has a very equal division between the three outcomes.
In most playthroughs, the Shroud dies, as the players' failure to properly advise the Invigilal results in his slitting the Shroud's throat and removing Robert's opportunity to decide the villain's fate. While it's possible to make Invisigal the hero and still romance Blazer, most players who follow the latter are so loyal to Blazer that they push Invisigal the wrong way in the process. 32% of playthroughs ignore Invigil and reject the dark path, while 31% of players heroize Invigil but still kill Shroud themselves. Whatever their reasoning – whether it's Shroud killing the previous Mecha Man, threatening Beef, hurting Invigil, or destroying the city – it sees Shroud die in 63% of the community's playthroughs. While many players choose to save him when given the choice (37%), it's hard to say which one is more popular because Invisigal complicates things.
It will be interesting to see how DispatchNintendo players handle a lot of game options and if this data is what the majority of new players do. Invisigal will probably always be the more popular love interest, but there's room for options like Phenoman vs. Waterboy to shift the data a bit, which is always close. whenever Dispatch Season 2 arrives, hopefully it will offer more memorable choices regarding Robert and the Z-Team.
