The second campaign of Arc Raiders will be much easier

Embark's way of adding optional progress wipes to Arc Raiders campaigns. However, raiders needed to collect a total of five million worth of loot or coins to get the most out of it, forcing players to grind for it in exchange for five skill points. Since this grind-centric approach didn't go over too well with the community, the devs decided to simplify the next campaign.

The Embark devs have mentioned before that they aren't opposed to changing things based on player feedback. In a recent blog post, Embark revealed just that Signups for the next campaign will begin on February 25th and officially launch on March 1st. This time, though, you only need to collect Three lakh coins.

Ark Raider campaigns lower the minimum required coins

“To start off, we'd like to get an announcement right off the bat: We've heard your feedback about the required stash value for maximum rewards, and have decided to lower the requirement to 3 million coins (600k per skill point),” the blog post says. “The reward for reaching 3 million stash value will still be 5 skill points.”

That's not all, though. The devs have decided to balance things out a bit for those of you who missed out on the first campaign with a “catch up mechanic”. If you missed any of the five skill points offered as part of the campaign rewards, you can now claim them at a discounted rate.

That can't be good.

“For this campaign, you need to collect 300k stash value per skill point missed from the first campaign. Upon departure, coins will contribute to the skill points of the second campaign, before contributing to the skill points missed from the first campaign.”

Along with skill points, the blog also details other rewards you'll receive as part of the second campaign: some cosmetics, extra stash space, and boosts to XP, repair value, and scrappy loot. Thankfully, the devs have given us plenty of time to prepare for the campaign, further reducing some of the grind.
