Epic Games has just released an official statement about the discovery Fortnite The account is believed to belong to sex offender, rapist, and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The most recent batch of Epstein files revealed the purchase of V-Bucks, leading some internet personalities and users to believe that “littlestjeff1” was an account associated with Epstein. said Fortnite The account features activity as recent as 2025, the year after Epstein died while in federal custody.
Of course, the focus of the Epstein files should be justice for the victims and accountability for any co-conspirators, accomplices, or otherwise unwitting individuals. That hasn't stopped any online discussion about everything Epstein was involved in for the crimes he was convicted of. The Epstein files featured numerous references to the gaming industry, including a permanent suspension from Xbox Live. While many initially believed it was due to “harassment, intimidation, and/or abuse,” the email states, there are reports that it was due to a settlement between Microsoft and the New York Attorney General that banned all registered sex offenders from Xbox Live.
After the recent files were released, readers not only discovered that Epstein had purchased V-bucks in the past but also assumed his username. Fortnite was “littlestjeff1”. Said profile reached the Silver 1 rank in Chapter 5 Season 1, which ran from December 2023 to March 2024, and played a total of 75 matches in 2025. This led to pseudo-serious conversations about whether Jeffrey Epstein was still alive or not, in part to make light of his grave crimes. Others believed it could be some kind of hoax, which has now been confirmed by Epic Games.
Confirming that it was a “move by a Fortnite player”, the Service Update channel responded to the post regarding the account. It revealed that “a few days ago” – possibly found in the Epstein files – a player had changed his username from “something completely unrelated” to “littlestjeff1”. It also explained that the trackers used to determine whether the account is still active only show current display names, not previous changes. It was then revealed that there was no record of Epstein's email addresses because they belonged to public documents within the Epic account system.
Finally, it noted that several Fortnite accounts have been created with similar-looking email addresses and usernames in recent days. It is unclear if Epic Games is taking steps to punish and/or remove these accounts.
