Yakuza 3 Remastered will be released today

Yakuza 3 Kiwami is here, and it's not just offering an updated way to play Yakuza 3 Remastered – it's replacing it entirely. Yakuza 3's remaster will be dropped today as its Kiwami replacement is released, but if you want to buy it, here's your chance to grab a copy before it's too late.

Unless you're reading this on or after February 13, 2026, in which case it's definitely too late.

RGG Studios confirmed a while back that, once Yakuza 3 Kiwami is here, the old remaster of the third Yakuza game will be sent back. Whether you're just learning about it now, or you heard about it months ago and thought you'd get around to picking up the remaster before it's too late, this is your last chance.

Yakuza 3 Remastered will drop from almost everywhere on February 12, 2026, that's today

As of this typing, Yakuza 3 Remastered is still available Buy on the PlayStation and Xbox stores, Steam, and other sites like Fanatical and GOG. GOG may have a remaster even after its delisting if similar Yakuza 0 is a status quo. RGG pulled something similar with the recently released Yakuza 0 Director's Cut, removing the original version of the game from the storefront.

RGG is making another Yakuza TV show after the last bombing, and it's tied directly into Kiwami 3

If nothing else, it at least looks more faithful than Kiwami 3.

The only problem is that I can't tell you exactly when Yakuza 3 Remastered will be out, but I can say that by the end of today, it will be out. According to RGG's official announcement, the delisting time has passed, but the game remains available. It notes that the remaster may be removed from storefronts at different times depending on the region.

After today, you'll need to buy the bundle for $130 to get Yakuza 3 Remaster

There will technically still be a way to buy the Yakuza 3 remaster, it's just going to cost you. Kiwami 3 will not take its place in the Yakuza Complete Series, a bundle that includes the first seven games in the series, from Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6. Good if you need all those games, not so good if you want an older version of Yakuza 3 as the bundle costs $130.

The imminent removal of the remaster is going to sting more than Yakuza fans expected after the lukewarm response to its replacement. Prior to launch, Yakuza 3 Kiwami suffered from RGG's decision to hire a controversial actor. Now that it's here, the game has received mediocre reviews – out of the ordinary for modern Yakuza games – and players aren't happy with the decision to cut the original trance substory. A questline that will soon be gone forever if you don't own the remaster.
