Nakime has a unique home field advantage at Infinity Castle
Mitsuri and Obanai are not ready for an opponent like this
With the fall of both Kaigaku and Akaja, only three Upper Moons remain on the battlefield, Nakime being the lowest among them. He may not match Doma or Kokushibo in raw power, but elite Hasira would still be wise to take him seriously. Nakime didn't say a word Demon Slayer Anime and hasn't fought yet, but it makes her even more exciting as she prepares to take center stage.
Nakime gains a unique home field advantage in Muzan's Infinity Castle, using her biwa and other abilities to control the building's layout. She can block enemy attacks or launch blunt attacks by quickly rearranging the walls, ceilings, and floors of Muzan's domain, and is a real challenge even for Hashira like Mitsuri and Obanai. This means that Nakime is important for the same reasons as Doma and Kokushibo: a powerhouse barrier that prevents any Demon Slayer from being killed near Muzan.
Gyomei Himejima is the Demon Slayer Core's best hope against Kokushibo
Stone Age is about to pull its weight in a big way
The Twelve Demon Moons have suffered many bloody losses, but so has the Hashira, so only a few Hashira are ready to fight as important characters in Movie #2. The single biggest example is the Hulking and Tearful Stone Hasira, Gyomei Himejima, who can do more than just train people to use repetition. As readers of the manga will see, Gyomei won't be fighting Kokushibo alone, but he'll be doing a lot of the heavy lifting as Hasira, the strongest of them all. It was because of him and Sanemi that Kokushibo was pushed aside before Kokushibo made a terrible revelation about his nature.
Muichiro Tokito is the key to fighting someone like Kokushibo
Muichiro's blade will make all the difference at a crucial moment
Back in the Swordsmith Village arc, Mist Hashira Muichiro was a key player in the battle for Tokito Village as he faced the Upper Moon 5, Gyoko. Thanks to Muichiro, the village is saved, and he helps inspire the rest of Hashira to awaken their own demon slaying marks. Muichiro's importance declined in the following arc, he was only one of several Hashira to train Tanjiro's trio, but now he is once again becoming a key cast member.
Manga readers know exactly what Muichiro is going to do with the demon slayers in the last few upper moons. While Muichiro can't solo Kokushibo the way he soloed Gyokko, he can use his glowing red blade to tip the scales in Core's favor. Not only did that not win the battle, but it made a much-needed difference to help Gyomei and Sanemi deal the final blow. Muichiro may not survive the fight, but his contributions will live on either way.
