While Overwatch has officially been surpassed Marvel Rivals When it comes to player count, the two hero shooters will undoubtedly continue to compete for a long time, outdoing each other at every turn. For players like me who love both games and see them as “two cakes”, this tournament is a godsend, and will hopefully continue to innovate both titles for years to come. Overwatch performing excellently Marvel Rivals Inevitably NetEase will drop a major update of its own, potentially embracing a PvE element. Overwatch has given up And in the meantime, players can continue to compare their existing items, cosmetics being just one of the many categories to look at.
Both of these hero shooters have consistently great skins, and that hasn't changed in recent weeks. After flying the players with Lady Loki, Marvel Rivals An event pass has since been released that gives Rocket a panda costume and Jeff a ducky costume, and these skins are as cute as they sound. in Overwatch Ahead, Blizzard kicks off Season 1 with a new Mercy Mythic and Lore-themed Battle Pass that completely sticks to the concept, all of which is phenomenal. And above all this, both games have given players some romantic aesthetic to celebrate Valentine's Day. In the spirit of the holiday, and the enduring rivalry between the two games, it's worth seeing which game makes the best use of this particular concept.
Marvel rival Emma Frost will be mid-dress to impress the player, and I can't stand it
Marvel Rivals players have many problems with the game, although my point of frustration is different from others', because I am most annoyed by my main fashion.
Marvel Rivals takes a lore-heavy approach to Valentine's Day
While her brief fling with Magneto is something many X-Men fans try to ignore, Rogue's romance with Gambit is just as beloved. The feisty Southern belle and Cajun card-thrower have a great dynamic Rivals All this has been carried forward since the couple got married in Netizen's multiverse. To honor the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. X, NetEase released a special bundle featuring the bride and groom's outfits in Season 5's intro and gallery cards.
In addition to these two types, the Mr. and Mrs. X bundle includes:
-
2 sprays
-
2 animated name cards
-
2 Emotions
-
1 Highlight Introduction (applicable to both Gambit and Rogue)
This is the second proper set of wedding skins Marvel RivalsMr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman also got suits and dresses a while ago. in Marvel Rivals' season 6.5 update, the Fantastic Four outfits were updated with special Ultimate VFX. Storm also has a wedding dress, but Black Panther currently lacks one.

Although two skins for Valentine's Day is not much, there are many characters because players like to see some pink and red skins, it's hard to complain about the quality over quantity approach. Both of these skins are truly phenomenal; I love the colors, hair, and suit design for Gambit. And as someone who likes to play Vanguard (especially Rogue), I snagged her wedding dress as much as I could. The earrings, the combination of gold and white, and the hair all look great on this wicked skin, and I love that her engagement ring is clearly visible. Of course, some may have nitpicks – maybe they preferred the long costume to Rogue or Gambit's stubble from the early art – but I personally couldn't be happier with these costumes.
Overwatch 2 rains players on top-notch skins for Valentine's Day
While Overwatch Nothing embraces popular ships like its Valentine's Day skins Marvel Rivals Done, it makes up for it with a sheer amount of memorable cosmetics. Overwatch Cupid has a history of nailing Valentine's Day for skins like Hanzo and The Loverwatch dating sim, and luckily, it's keeping the streak alive in 2026. The following skins are all available Overwatch Now:
-
Heartbreaker Lifewaver
-
Heartbreaker Threat
-
Heartbreaker Domina
-
cupid juno
-
Cupid Kiriko
-
Attractive soldier: 76
-
Romantic symmetry
A vast majority of these skins look good, although some are obviously better than others. For example, Hazard's Heartbreaker skin is decent enough, but a bit basic and similar to his base outfit. Lifeweaver looks great thanks to the stained glass petals on the back, but this is ultimately a repaint of his Eros design, and not every player will like it when Overwatch Goes the recolor route. Fortunately, Domina nails this fashion theme with a truly extravagant design that's different from her base look and, because she's the one. Overwatchof five new heroes, not re-colors of existing mythology. I really love it; Am I biased because I quickly became obsessed with her personality and gameplay? yes i am But still, the dress is appropriately sparkly and elegant, the way her extra hardlight appendages make a broken heart really brings home the leather theme, and her updo is gorgeous.
Skin of Symmetra? Amazing, I love the winged arms, heavily styled hair, and pastel purple hands. Kiri's skin? Another win for the still spoiled Kiriko community (I play pity a lot, so I can't really judge), as the short pink hair, rose accents, and themed treatment ofuda all look great together. Juno's skin? Yes, this is also a winner; I especially like her digging the arrow at the end of her blaster, as well as the loose white dress and hairstyle, everything comes together to help Juno nail the cupid theme much better than Kiriko (Kiri still looks good). Honestly, the only skin I don't have much good to say about is the charming soldier: 76. Sure, I know a lot of cosmetics don't have a lore connection, but this feels weird and out of character. OverwatchThe resident father wears such clothes. His face also looks a little off, so while I appreciate the knight-like heart armor, it's a pass for me. I never want to play as A Shrek 2 The villain, personally.
Overwatch reveals massive patch notes for Talon Season 1: Relaunch with Victory
Overwatch kicks off its ambitious reboot with Talon Season 1: The Beginning of Victory, complete with a massive set of patch notes.
And the winner is… Overwatch — here's why
This was a surprisingly difficult choice for me, but it comes down to a few different things. Obviously, there is skin count to consider. Of each of the skins highlighted here, my favorite is undoubtedly Wicked; I love her clothes and hair, I play her a ton, and the outfit symbolizing her bond with Gambit gives it an extra special touch. However, I wouldn't trade this skin for the Domina, Juno, Kiriko, and Symmetra outfits, as these all look great too (and I really need a proper Domina skin since she's so fun). That's six very good ones (and catchy: there's 76… there's also, sorry, not sorry), and in a game where a lot of the fun comes from playing a bunch of unique characters, quantity makes a difference. But there's a more important reason than the skin count that helped me pick a winner: how the skins are handled.
OverwatchValentine's Day cosmetics are sold in the store like all other skins, boasting a normal bundle price (or a little more in Domina's case, because she has an emotional and highlight introduction along with the outfit). As always, players who want to get skins can do so through the hero gallery, and they don't have to spend more than the displayed price to get what they want. Unfortunately, with the new Gambit and Rogue Skins, Rivals'The controversial Gachch system is back. In theory, this can be seen as a good thing, as players can get skins and all other items in their first pop bubble (getting skins unlocks everything immediately). In fact, it's so unlikely that most players will spend 3,000 units to get everything, unlocking skins on their last pull.
While I didn't care Marvel RivalsWith Psylocke's New Year's skin patch system now being realistically beneficial for a single hero, everyone's fears that this could be a slippery slope have now been proven correct. Adding two skins to the same batch of gambling is problematic, as players are likely to spend more than they would normally spend. The overlap between Gambit and Rogue mains is probably not that great, as they are a strategist and a vanguard respectively. Because of this, there are probably many players who only wanted disease items, and vice versa, but through this system, they are bound to get both. Unlike the Psylocke skin, which can be seen as either a full-price normal bundle or a cheap one for lucky players, players who only want Rogue or Gambit are likely to spend more than they normally would since the skins can't be purchased individually. Given this lack of transparency, I can say with ease Overwatch Valentine's Day went well this year.
