God of War actor reacts to another game leak

The actor behind Kratos in the Norse God of War games, Christopher Judge, has shared his reaction to the leak of another new game's existence.

It's been a while since God of War fans were so excited about the upcoming TV show, but that's definitely changed over the past few weeks. PlayStation's current State of Play not only announced and overshadowed the new spin-off, Sons of Sparta, it also confirmed that a remake of the original trilogy is in early development.

If that wasn't enough to keep Kratos fans happy for a good few years, it looks like another War game might be in development as well. Christopher Judge was recently filmed at a fan expo, and not only confirmed some details on the remake, but Sony Santa Monica's next game is involved and looks set to be announced in the summer.

“I have other projects I'm super excited about”

While the judge's comments about “hearing about what we're doing at the end of the summer” are not connected to the new War game, many fans believe that he was accidentally confirming that Sony is in Santa Monica's next game, which is rumored to be revealed in the summer. Put the two together, and it definitely is seems Like the new God of War.

In response to all the confusion, the judge took to Twitter to share a statement clarifying what he said. Judge commented that he had “zero involvement” with the original games and wanted to be “crystal clear” about what they included, perhaps suggesting that his claims of a new combat system are either false or stated too soon.

Judge also said that “I love that everything I do in the future will be inclusive [Sony Santa Monica] and [God of War]I have other projects that I'm super excited about. While you could argue that the judge had a word with PlayStation and was asked to backtrack, it certainly sounds like he may not have mentioned God of War.

Given the nature of the leak, it's a bit hard to say what exactly is going on. On the one hand, leakers are suggesting that Sony Santa Monica's next game will be revealed this summer, and many believe it will be the new God of War. On the other hand, the judge may be merely teasing what he did, which appears to be happening at the same time. I guess we'll have to see.

Judge is a great actor who I'd be happy to see in anything, but I'm really hoping this is a proper new God of War. Remakes are great, but you can't beat a new game.
