5 transformations stronger than the legendary Super Saiyan

The legendary Super Saiyan is far and away the strongest standard Super Saiyan form Dragon Ball. Even without access to God Ki, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly was so strong, he was able to defeat Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta in a tag-team. Even Super Saiyan Gogeta was not strong enough to defeat Broly without turning Super Saiyan Blue.

Of course, a lot of this is due to Broly's latent potential, but that doesn't change how strong the Legendary Super Saiyan is as a form. Just a few changes Dragon Ball Super are stronger than legendary Super Saiyans, and even then, just barely. Broly gets stronger the longer he fights, so his legendary Super Saiyan form has the potential to become the most powerful form in the series.

True Ultra Instinct is Goku's strongest form right now

Vegeta and Gohan may currently be stronger than Goku, but that doesn't stop Ultra Instinct from being one of the strongest forms in the entire series. During Granolah the Survivor Saga, Goku unlocks True Ultra Instinct, a new and improved version of the UI he can trigger like a regular transformation and stacking his various Super Saiyan forms on top, allowing him to use Ultra Instinct's autonomous movement and his various SSJ power level multipliers.

Goku, unfortunately, was unable to manually trigger Ultra Instinct Dragon Ball Super: BrolyDue to the movie taking place right after the Tournament of Power, but after training with Merus in the Morro Ark, he has no problem turning Ultra Instinct on and off like any other form. Now that Goku's Ultra Instinct has been fully mastered, Broly doesn't stand a chance against him – until Broly learns to control his full power, that is.

Vegeta would never have defeated Dragon Ball Super if he had the super ego: Broly

After unlocking Ultra Ego while fighting Granolah, Vegeta became slightly stronger than Goku. Unfortunately, Goku's mastery of Ultra Instinct surpassed Vegeta's grasp of Ultra Ego, but his base power level and skill set were enough for him to defeat Goku in the end. Gohan Beast is objectively stronger than Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

Going by the golden rule Dragon BallThe latest villain is always stronger than the last. This means that Cell Max is significantly stronger than the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly. Lending further evidence for this idea is the fact that Piccolo does not believe that Goku or Vegeta would have been able to defeat Cell Max. While Piccolo Granolah wasn't present for Survivor Saga, he was around Dragon Ball Super: Broly And Moro Saga, so he knows what Goku and Vegeta are capable of.

The fact Gohan is the only character strong enough to kill Beast Cell Max puts him in a league above Broly. Dragon Ball Super Chap 103 doubles it down by having Gohan Beast fight with Super Saiyan Broly. Yes, Broly doesn't use the Legendary Super Saiyan in this battle, but Gohan Beast Sit manages to maintain the upper hand and eventually outshines him in the Super Saiyan Battle Royale. Black Frieza is the most powerful transformation in Dragon Ball Super

Black Frieza is the strongest unique transformation Dragon Ball Super. After training for ten years in the hyperbolic time chamber he found while exploring the multiverse, Frieza goes from weak to strong enough to gaslight the Legendary Super Saiyan and defeat Goku and Vegeta without breaking a sweat. The only reason Black Frieza didn't kill Goku or Vegeta is because he wasn't there to fight them.

Dragon Ball Super Manga gets a disappointing update after 1 full year

The April 2026 issue of V-Jump revealed that Toyotarou's Dragon Ball Super manga is still on hold, with no return date in sight.

They only bothered fusing him with Gogeta because Legendary Super Saiyan Broly proved so out of control, they couldn't stop him as Super Saiyan Blues.

Using his own version of Super Saiyan Blue, SSB Gogeta completely surpasses the legendary Super Saiyan Broly in every way. In the original draft by Akira Toriyama Dragon Ball Super: BrolyGogeta Blue brings LSSJ Broly to the literal sun for their final battle. If there's anyone powerful enough to defeat a legendary Super Saiyan, it's the strongest fusion of all time: Gogeta Blue.
