The Resident Evil Generation Pack on Nintendo Switch will go on sale on March 31st

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a pretty powerful device, at least compared to its predecessor, the original Nintendo Switch. And as a result of its power, the hybrid console handheld has seen a surge in marquee triple-A releases, including last week's highly-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem.

Requiem's release brought Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, AKA Resident Evil 8, to the console via a native Switch 2 version with all the associated DLC and goodies. Together, the three modern Resident Evil games are also part of the Resident Evil Generations Pack, a $90 box set of all three games.

Considering that Requiem itself is a $70 game, this is a pretty big deal. That said, if you want to get into the Generation Pack, you'll want to act with some urgency, with just 29 days to go from the time of writing, before it hits the shelves.

As first seen on Reddit , the eShop states that sales of the bundle will end on March 31st. For now, the eShop will be your only place to get the Generation Pack, as the physical version of the modern trilogy is sold out.

In fact, at Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop, the bundle is marked as “sold out” or “unavailable”. From what we've seen with Requiem so far, there are plenty of tracks that physical versions of it are going in and out of stock at various retailers, with many still waiting for their copy to ship.

EXCLUSIVE: Leon's actor came up with “about 50” of the character's most iconic lines in Resident Evil 4.

“You want to be ugly? Let's be ugly”

Which means, if the Generation Pack is of interest, you'll want to turn on stock alerts and check your local stores regularly to see if it returns. If digital is fine, then you might want to scoop it up before the March 31 cutoff.

This won't be the first limited Switch game

Of course, Switch fans are probably well aware of the limited physical variety. Perhaps most famously, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Bundle, which brought Galaxy, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine to the original Switch on one cartridge, was a limited physical and digital release.

Back then, the title was released in September and you had until March to purchase. It has never been returned and physical copies regularly sell for top dollar. Even after being bundled with the Galaxy and Galaxy 2, it still stands.

However, unlike those titles, Biohazard, The Village and Requiem will still be selling heavily after the March 31 cutoff. If you want some serious savings, as well as a neat box set in the era of limited physical releases, you better act now.

Grace from Resident Evil Requiem at the Spencer Mansion.

Resident Evil Requiem has convinced me that a Resident Evil 1 remake will work, as long as it's first-person.

Requiem is the closest Capcom has come to capturing the insanity of the original Resident Evil games.
