now, Dungeons and Dragons has officially revealed a roadmap for 2026, with at least four new books for fans. Major releases arrive throughout the year as part of “Seasons”, each with a unique theme associated with their respective products:

Season of Horror: A Return to Ravenloft and the Domain of Fear

considering Curse of Strahd is in the middle 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons' One of the most popular adventure paths, it's no surprise to learn that Ravenloft will be revisited after the 2024 rules refresh. In many ways, this book will be a sequel Van Richten's Ravenloft GuideDipping players deeper into the many genres of horror, Domain of Dread covers everything from gothic and cosmic to mystical and dark fantasy.

Although Wizards of the Coast has been tight-lipped about exactly what will be found in this book, the previous horror-themed combination. D&D The revealed arcana and preview page tease some of what fans can expect:

Arcana Unleashed: DeadfallWhich will be released alongside the supplement, the first full-length adventure since the 2024 Rules refresh. Marketed as “the ultimate Red Wizards adventure”, players will likely get a closer look at Thay and Szass Tam, popularized by their presence. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among ThievesIn this book. There is currently no level range given for this adventure path.

Season of Champions: Could Wizards of the Coast return to the iconic D&D setting?

Wizards of the Coast has yet to reveal the book coming into the season of champions, which is expected at the end of the year. However, there is some material from the other Dungeons and Dragons Discovered arcana that don't fit the confirmed books. Many of the iconic subclasses from the past in this playtest, such as the Spiritual Guardian Barbarian, Cavalier Fighter, and Oathbreaker Paladin, fit well with the Season of Champions theme and may appear in this unknown book.

That said, given how mysterious Wizards of the Coast is about it, this book could be more specific and important. Traced arcana between the Psion class and Apocalyptic subclasses, evidence suggests a possible return. D&DThe iconic and controversial Dark Sun setting may be in the works. It's possible that this unannounced project could be related to these elements, but fans will have to wait until later this year to find out for sure.
