The Power Rangers Chromatic are a popular group of superheroes, but they don't naturally follow the color spectrum. Many of the most important Power Rangers of all time are technically the epitome of color absence. From the beginning, the Black Rangers are the most important figures for the Rangers.
That fact hasn't changed of course, but some Power Rangers are definitely more suited to the role than others. From Jack Taylor's unique fighting style, to Anubis Kruger's alien physiology, the Black Rangers have some of the strongest members of the Rangers' respective colors. Finally, there have been many Black Rangers since the 90s, but only one deserves the title of strongest.

Will Ashton makes up for his ego with real skill
Power Rangers: Overdrive
Will Ashton is easily one of the most arrogant Power Rangers in existence. Although this attitude is forward, he backs it up with serious skill. His primary skills are finding and disabling traps, but he has a plethora of other useful detective abilities. Power Rangers has played a double agent from time to time.
The 10 Greatest Kaiju in the Godzilla Franchise, Ranked
The monster has some really impressive titans, each taller than a skyscraper, some kaiju even bigger than Godzilla.
Aston isn't the most capable of fighters, but their technique helps give them an edge. Most of his iteration technology is man-made, but surprisingly powerful. Thankfully, the Defender Vest provides the necessary boost when needed, but Ashton rarely needs it. He may not be the best in direct confrontation, but he is the best the Power Rangers have ever seen in terms of espionage.

Javi Garcia is technically the second Dino Fury Black Ranger
Power Rangers: Dino Fury
Javi Garcia is the second Black Dino and Cosmic Fury Ranger. He is one of the longest-serving Rangers in the series, given his fifty-episode run, making him surprisingly strong. He is currently the last Black Power Ranger to exist within the franchise as the Disney reboot has yet to come out.
One Piece: Who Were the Strongest Swordsmen of Each Era?
From ancient times to the present age, discover the legendary and powerful swords of the One Piece universe.
Garcia also has a robotic arm that gives him a level of wonder. Unfortunately, the hand originally offered additional set-backs as well. Cybernetics often malfunction, causing him to struggle with prosthetics. Thankfully, after some time of practice and improved technique, the hand in particular is a power-up.

Jake Holling's main color is a slight anomaly within the series
Power Rangers: Megaforce
Jake Holling is incredibly powerful because he technically has access to every power of the previous Black Rangers. As the Black Megaforce Ranger, he has access to some of the most iconic powers in the franchise. Gosei's main solution to any threat is to give the Power Rangers a new set of skills and throw them head first into the problem.
Holling's most significant achievement is his participation in the legendary battle. He is not the only Black Ranger to fight in battle, but he is one of the most important leaders of the war. Jake is far from a fan favorite, but even his biggest critics can't deny some of his epic feats.

Adam Park takes over the mantle from Jack Taylor
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Adam Park is the second Mighty Morphin Black Ranger and one of the most popular to play the role. He serves as the Mighty Morphin Ranger longer than his predecessor, but is often overlooked. Although many love Adam as the Green Ranger, his performance as the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger is nothing short of remarkable.
Park is one of Scorpina's greatest enemies and is often on the receiving end of their wrath after their first confrontation. He famously uses martial arts to boost his confidence, but it still falls short at times. Thankfully, Jack Taylor clearly chose the right successor and Park often proves why he was chosen to be a Power Ranger in the first place.
6
Danny Delgado is one of the physically strongest Rangers in the series
Power Rangers: Wild Force
As Rangers go, Danny Delgado is particularly timid. However, like his bison counterpart, he is extremely strong. He uses battleaxes like many of the iconic Black Rangers and even has a toy-specific battleizer. That said, many fans consider Delgado to be strong enough to use the Batalizer if he gets one.
Delgado perfectly embodies the term gentle giant. He is incredibly strong, but prefers to talk things out rather than resort to violence. Sadly, he rarely gets time to shine on the version's golden boy, Cole Evans.

Magna Defender is one of the best anti-heroes in Power Rangers history
Power Rangers: The Lost Galaxy
Magna Defender is one of the most important anti-heroes in the entire series. For this reason, he is often considered the Sixth Ranger of the Lost Galaxy team and even appears with them during the Legendary War. However, the manga defender appears to be possibly Mike Corbett, the brother of the Lost Galaxy Red Ranger.
Magna Defender is easily one of the most influential characters within the series. He is a relatively old figure who originally served as an antagonist, but was soon brought to light like the other Sixth Rangers. However, Lost Galaxy probably wouldn't have survived their iteration without him.

Jack Taylor creates his own powerful and unique fighting style
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Jack Taylor is the original Mighty Morphin Black Ranger and one of the most important figures in the entire franchise. He serves as Jason Lee Scott's second-in-command, and develops his own fighting style. The actor will retire from the team along with many of his friends, but will return later Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Now and Forever. He wields the incredible Power X and remains one of the most iconic characters Power Rangers.
When it comes to the most memorable of the Black Rangers, it's easily Taylor. He may not be the strongest, but his strength cannot be questioned. Like a mighty mastadon, he is proud, ready to face any threat without question. Many have even claimed that he could have led a team like Jason or Tommy, but he is often left out of the discussion.

The Phantom Ranger's true identity is never revealed
Power Rangers: Turbo
The Phantom Ranger is easily the most mysterious character in the Power Rangers franchise. His true identity is never revealed, but the showrunner originally planned for the character to be Billy Cranston. However, he remains one of the most mysterious and iconic characters in the show's history, mainly due to the uncertainty surrounding him.
Power Rangers: 10 Best Green Rangers, Ranked
Green may have joined the Power Rangers as an extra member of the group, but quickly became one of the team's main colors.
He is an ally of the Turbo Rangers, but he has also faced the Space and Galaxy Rangers. He's not invincible, but he's capable of taking on threats alone that the Turbo Rangers can't hope to fight together. At least, where the second edition of Turbo Team is concerned.

Anubis Cruger takes control of the SPD Earth base
Power Rangers: SPD
Anubis Cruger is a strong swordsman in the Power Rangers series and the commander of SPD Earth Base. He's an alien, but that doesn't stop him from seeing Earth as his new home. He defeats the series' big bad, Unmorphed in what is arguably the greatest feat of strength in the entire series. He was later chosen to lead the entire SPD after Commander Bardi retired.
Power Rangers: The 10 Best Men in the Franchise, Ranked
The Power Rangers are the most powerful superheroes in media, but they couldn't get that way without capable mentors.
Krueger can be harsh on the Rangers at times, but keeping them out of harm's way, or getting them better prepared for battle, is part of his job. He doesn't have the best bedside manner, but what do military commanders do? Ultimately, Krueger serves as a key figure in the SPD series and one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise.
1
Tommy Oliver is the strongest Power Ranger of all time
Power Rangers Dino Thunder
Tommy Oliver is the strongest Power Ranger of all time. He is the longest serving and considered by many to be the leader of the entire organization. When a group of rangers is called in, it's usually Tommy who calls the shots. He also mentors the Dino Thunder Rangers as the Black Dino Thunder Ranger. Oliver may not be the most color-matched, but that doesn't mean he doesn't rock the iconic Dino Thunder look.
Many modern fans consider the Dino Thunder version of the character to be one of his best roles. However, many of them will be surprised to know that the actor himself was not the only one in the series. Due to scheduling constraints, Tommy will spend much of the series morphed, but that doesn't take away from his importance to the team.
