Overwatch recently announced that every weekend in March will be a Double Match XP weekend to celebrate the continued success of the game. now, Overwatch Fans have even more incentive to log into the hero shooter, as if the reign of Talon Season 1 wasn't enough.
February 10 marked a new era for future Earth. Soft re-launch of OverwatchNow without the “2” in its title, it includes five new heroes, a refreshed UI, and the first volume of its new year-long seasonal story. The season was a big hit, with Overwatch Breaking player records on both Steam and Twitch in its opening weeks.
Double Match XP Weekends all March in Overwatch
Overwatch This success is celebrated throughout March. According to a new post on Twitter, Blizzard has launched a special “Player Appreciation Boost”, offering double match XP every single weekend in March:

Double Match XP multiplies baseline Battle Pass XP Overwatch Players earn by playing games. This usually averages between 700 and 1,000 XP, rewarded more for wins or longer games. Playing in a group adds an extra 20% boost, and can grant between 100 and 500 extra XP when queuing for in-demand roles, all multiplied by the double XP bonus. Those who capitalize on all these bonuses together can easily get 2,000 Battle Pass XP for a single win.
This isn't the first Double Match XP weekend Overwatch Held to celebrate his renewal success. From February 20th to February 23rd, Blizzard offered this bonus with five free loot boxes. There are no extra loot boxes to claim this time, but Double Match XP will be returned multiple times to compensate.
That said, there are still a few days left to earn some more loot boxes. For twitch drops Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1: Conquest goes live until March 8 offering up to 10 free loot boxes – two of which are legendary – just by watching streamers on Twitch. However, it takes 13 hours to earn all these rewards; As of press time, there are less than 55 hours left in the campaign, so fans who haven't started should start watching soon.
What's next in Overwatch?
currently, Overwatch Victory is in the middle of the fourth week of events. In this headlining gameplay activity for Reign of Talon Season 1, players align with Overwatch or Talon to complete objectives, earn rewards and prove their loyalty. The five-week event ends on March 17, meaning fans will soon see which faction will reign supreme, and in turn, which Echo skins will be awarded to all players.
Talon won weeks one and three, while Overwatch won week two and is poised to win week four, meaning both sides are likely to tie in the final week.
Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1 is nearing its halfway point before the launch of Season 2. The midseason update is expected to arrive on March 10 or March 17, bringing with it several new hero balance adjustments, as well as a mythic hero skin for Mei. A new collaboration in between Overwatch and Nier: Automata Also starting on March 10th featuring Adam Lifeweaver, A2 Vendetta, 9S Wuyang, 2B Kiriko and Commander White Mercy.
The second season of OverwatchReign of the Talon drops on April 14, bringing even more surprises. A new story arc, possibly including a community event like Victory, will arrive with another playable hero. Post-game tributes are coming back to the game, as well as an official port for Switch 2. Reworked the Antarctic Peninsula map, added Ramatra Stadium, and Overwatch A 10-year anniversary event is just some of the other features that fans can expect in this upcoming update.
