One Diablo 4 class gets the short end of the stick in Season 12

Like Diablo 4 Players prepare for the Season of Slaughter, deciding which class to play as the first stop on their Season 12 journey. This new season is set to feature some interesting mechanics, such as the return of killstreaks Diablo 3 And the ability to transform into a butcher and go to the slaughterhouse. However, there is one Diablo 4 A class that players may want to avoid in Season 12 if they want to take full advantage of the seasonal mechanics on offer.

Diablo 4 Season 12 comes at an important time in the game's life, serving as the final season before the release of the Paladin class in Season 11 and the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion and overhaul of many of the game's major systems. Despite this apparent lull, players still have a great reason to check out Season of Slaughter, in particular Diablo 4 crossing with Doom: The Dark Ages. With many players waiting to experience Warlock in Lord of Hatred, Necromancer could be a popular choice in Season 12, as it also emphasizes summoning minions. Playing a necromancer in the Diablo 4 Season 12 could be a mistake, because there are so many good options for building this season.

Diablo 4 Season 12 is also offering a free trial of Paladin from March 11-18, so players who haven't pre-purchased Lord of Hatred may want to start with this class as soon as possible.

Historically, Necromancer has been one of the more reliable options Diablo 4 Season after season builds. Players can usually find one or two solid Necromancer builds for a given season Diablo 4Some options are completely impractical. However, the Necromancer isn't getting a lot of useful new tools in its kit for Season of Slaughter, and its playstyle doesn't seem to have much synergy with the Killstreak mechanic that's set to inform most of the meta builds in the new season.

Diablo 4 Season 12's new uniques won't move the needle much for necromancers

  • Blood-Mad Idol – Unique Amulet (All Classes)

  • Wendigo Brand – Unique Ring (All Classes)

  • Rustbiton Dirk – Unique Dagger (Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, Necromancer)

  • Wyrdskin – Unique gloves (all classes

  • Thousand-Eyed Reaver – Unique One-Handed Ax (Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin)

Despite having access to each new unique Diablo 4 Season 12, there aren't many Necromancer builds that can really take advantage of them. Of course, the Wendigo brand and unique like Wyrdskin can be a solid choice in any Diablo 4 Build, but they don't necessarily provide synergy with the Necromancer's build cores. Stacks of Ferocity for Thousand-Eyes River Necromancers can be a decent option for those looking to boost their attack speed, but there are specifics for certain builds, such as Gravebloom for Golem Necromancers or Bloodless Scream for Bloodwave Necromancers.

The biggest knock against Necromancers in Diablo 4 Season 12 is the playstyle of the class, which clashes heavily with the season's emphasis on fast, efficient killing and building killstreaks. Necromancer builds come in two different flavors: dealing large group damage over time or dealing high-volume single-target damage. Builds like Minion Necromancer and Shadowblight Necromancer excel at keeping the class alive and whittling down enemies to finish off the player, but do so at a slower pace than other classes. On the other hand, builds like Bone Spear Necromancer and Blood Wave Necromancer are great for combat. Diablo 4's Lair Bosses, as they focus on powering single-target skills to do maximum damage against powerful enemies like bosses.

Unfortunately, none of these player styles have the mechanics of bloody weapons and their effects that are triggered by killstreaks. Diablo 4 Season 12. Compared to classes like Barbarian, Rogue, and Spiritborn, who can all deal serious damage with great movement speed, the Necromancer will struggle to make a place in Assassination Season.
