Not only was the fight evenly matched in its run, but at one point Gohan's speed was so great that he negated Ultra Instinct's auto-dodging abilities and knocked Goku out of the form, leading some to speculate that this was the greatest form of all.

When Broly was reintroduced within the franchise's canon, his powers were even greater than his non-canon counterpart. He was extremely powerful, but he proved to have the greatest abilities in the series, as seen in his first battle that showed him unlocking a transformation that was even stronger than Super Saiyan Blue.

The Granolah Arch saw a big step forward for general power scaling Dragon Ball. In this arc, Vegeta finally unlocked Ultra Ego against an opponent who was able to catch even Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku off guard, and their subsequent battle proved to be the most exciting of the whole. SuperBoth characters steadily growing in power.
Eventually, after Vegeta slightly defeated Granolah, Cerelian finally managed to equal the Saiyan by unlocking his second red eye, bringing him to Vegeta's level. At the end of the fight, Granolah realizes that the only way to put Vegeta down for good is to make an attack so powerful that it leaves himself without energy as well, effectively killing them both. It puts them as dead equals.
