World of Warcraft may bring back limited promo items in patch 12.0.5

World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.5 appears to be bringing back several old limited-time promotional items from 2024, including the Hatforged Blazecycle mount via Trading Post. Assuming so, World of Warcraft Fans will get another chance to earn items that were otherwise region-locked or behind a paywall.

Blizzard is no stranger to promotions with external brands. For example, World of Warcraft Players who purchase select Trolley products can earn a Gummi the Glow Wyrm pet. That said, many of these promos were region-locked, limited in stock, or required the purchase of products ranging from snacks to gaming peripherals.

This is a universally good thing World of Warcraft Community. As exciting as limited-time promotions can be, they exploit FOMO to urge gamers to spend money and cause frustration if events fall outside their realm. Scalpers then prey on those players, snapping the codes and selling them at inflated costs. World of Warcraft It's full of promotions right now, so this paradigm shift can at least give fans peace of mind that they'll be able to get these items again in the future.
