throughout the whole Jujutsu Kaisen Franchise, domain extensions are the most advanced and powerful applications of Cursed Energy, which essentially means that they are the pinnacle of power systems. As such, only the most powerful and capable magicians can use them.

For this reason, Jujutsu Kaisen The story has featured its fair share of domain expansions, many of them exceptionally powerful but some mediocre at best. In this article, let's rank each domain extension in the story to see which one is the strongest of them all.

Honorable Mention 1: The World Between Darkness and Light: Inverted Transcendence

User: Dabura Karaba

Dabura was shown to be the most powerful alien magician from the planet of Simuria because of his incredibly deadly cursed technique that allowed him to manipulate light. At the end of the battle against the Mahoraga, he briefly opens his domain, though, to everyone's dismay, we never get to see what it does, how it works, or how strong it is. However, considering Dabura's power, it is very powerful.

Honorable Mention 2: Yugi's Domain

User: Yuji Itadori

As with Dabura's domain, one of the biggest missed opportunities of the entire franchise is that Gaz never reveals the details of Yugi's domain. However, from what can be gathered, it appears to be very powerful, as Yuji could kill Tsukuna at any point during its use, and it appears to have the largest overall area within its barrier out of all the domains in the series. For these reasons, many believe it directly targets the soul, which puts it at the top of the list.

Chimera Shadow Garden uses Infinite Shikigami

User: Megumi Fushiguro

Megumi's Chimera Shadow Garden is one of the hardest domains for anyone to go against due to its versatile nature allowing her to summon an unlimited amount of Shikigami. Not only that, but Megumi can also clone herself and use Shikigami's advanced abilities on her own, allowing her to single-handedly defeat the Special Grade Curse. However, because it is incomplete and incredibly taxing on him, it cannot rank highly.

The smallpox god's domain is claustrophobic

User: Smallpox Deity

The Smallpox God was a special grade curse that was present at the beginning of the Shibuya Incident, where he used his suppression domain against Mei Mei. By trapping his target in a coffin, he can finally use his domain to crush them with a giant rock if they don't escape within 3 seconds. Mei Mei's Cursed Technique was a direct counter to this power, however, so she beat him with relative ease.

The horizon of the lovely Skandha is very deadly

User: Dagon

As one of the Four Disaster Curses, Dagon was one of the most powerful cursed spirits Jujutsu Kaisen. His domain acted like the Chimera Shadow Garden, in that it created a vast area where Dagon could summon unlimited Shikigami to tear apart his targets. However, Shikigami cannot kill people instantly and can easily be overpowered, so it is a relatively weak domain overall.

Capital punishment can result in immediate murder

User: Hiromi Higuru

As one of the most eccentric magicians in history, Higuruma managed to quickly unlock his domain expansion. Although its fixed-hit effect is not fatal, it can cause many different consequences, such as the confiscation of cursed technology or cursed equipment, or execution, which gives rise to a sword of execution that can kill anyone with a single touch. However, the uncertain punishment of the domain itself, as well as the lack of lethal sure-hit, prevent it from being one of the strongest.

A passive death spell can make the user immortal

User: Kinji Hakari

As the series' most complex domain expansion, Idol Death Gamble takes the user and their enemy into a pachinko game where Hakari must gamble. If he hits the jackpot, he is granted unlimited cursed energy for 4 minutes and 11 seconds, essentially making him immortal due to the automatic Reverse Cursed Technique added to his arsenal. With each jackpot, Hakari's chances of getting another one increase, making him a near-unrecognizable fighter with unlimited powers.

Coffin of the Iron Mountain forms an active volcano

User: Jogo

As one of the most offensively powerful of the scourge curses, it's no surprise that Jogo's domain, Coffin of the Iron Mountain, is extremely deadly. Essentially, the blockage creates the interior of an active volcano that is so hot, it can instantly burn almost anything trapped inside. For quick kills, Jogo can also control the lava and earth within this volcano, making it even more terrifying. It's sad that he only used it against Gozo of all people.

Authentic mutual love houses hundreds of techniques

User: Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta is one of the four officially recognized special grade magicians, so, naturally, his domain expansion was going to be very powerful. Using his innate Cursed Technique to copy the powers of others, Yuta's Domain possesses hundreds of Cursed Techniques in the form of swords that he can take just to use this technique. Although it is indeed very strong, it is not superior due to the relatively weak version of the technique he uses and also because he can only use one technique at a time.

Time Cell Moon Palace requires absolute stability

User: Naoya Zenin

Sure to be a controversial choice for many, Naoya's domain expansion essentially makes movement impossible. Within its confines, the fixed-hit effect is Projection Sourcery, which forces everyone trapped inside to obey the 24 FPS rule, down to the cellular level. If this rule is broken, their cellular makeup is targeted, causing them serious damage. The only reason this domain isn't higher is because of undue power remaining.
