While all of these changes are beneficial to fans, the new and redesigned map forgiveness in Competitive is especially timely. Talon's reign is believed to have had at least one new or reworked map per season. Season 2 is planned for Japan Night, with updates on the Antarctic Peninsula Overwatch At some point after Season 3, and the Iceland and Atlantic archeology, this feature will be especially heavily used.
Social system and hero ban improvements are coming to Overwatch in 2026
