Respawn Entertainment has just rolled out a new update Apex LegendsMaking some changes that improve the gameplay experience for players. While this latter Apex Legends While the update doesn't include new content, it fixes several bugs and adjusts matchmaking to potentially level the playing field in battle royale lobbies.
It's been an exciting time for the past few weeks Apex Legends players. On March 10, the developer released the Apex Legends x Gundam event, which brought a limited-time edition of Wildcard, as well as several new cosmetics based on the anime. The momentum continued into the end of the month, as did the mid-season update Apex Legends Gibraltar, Wraith, and Watson were released with buffs, along with many other changes to Battle Royale. After this major update, the Aftershock event began, giving fans back-to-back events in the game. While Season 29 is already on the horizon, small updates continue to be rolled out to improve the battle royale.
Apex Legends is now a whole new game
My friends and I return to Apex Legends after years away, inevitably to find a new game waiting for us.
The Apex Legends update brings changes to matchmaking in ranked and pubs
The most recent of these patches was released on April 14 and brought some much-needed bug fixes to the game. According to the patch notes, Valkyrie's jetpack handles not displaying correctly and hardlight audio errors related to Watson have been fixed. Furthermore, the patch includes stability improvements for the Nintendo Switch 2 version Apex Legends. However, what many players will find more exciting are the matchmaking changes. Specifically, the developer noted that the maximum queue time for high-skilled players in ranks and pubs has been “slightly” increased. This change aims to create lobbies that are more evenly matched across all skill levels.
It will be interesting to see the impact these changes may have on battle royale lobbies moving forward. Players on social media hope that longer queue times can alleviate some of the problems with unbalanced matchmaking. However, others fear the increased waiting times could be frustrating for pubs, given the informal jump-in and jump-out nature of the mode.
Apart from adjustments to queue times and various bug fixes, for this April update Apex Legends Also changed the ranked level distribution charts for drop zone ranked games. Notably, the charts now display the rankings of squads instead of individual players. Respawn also noted that a four-hour ranked map rotation schedule was being tested in East Asia. The trial will run for the remainder of the second division of Season 28. Depending on the test results, this means players from all regions will get to play differently. Apex Legends Maps are sorted multiple times per partition, which prevents things from getting stale.
