The series follows Kazuyoshi Igarashi, a former golf pro, who takes an interest in a young orphan, Tonbo Oi, who proves to be a natural at golf. Igarashi takes Tonbo under his wing as the two grow close and their love for golf deepens.

In many ways it's a love letter to the sport as a whole, and tries to be as realistic as possible in every sense (though without its share of exaggeration to keep things as exciting as possible for casuals). The production quality can leave a lot to be desired at times, but respect the anime's story, atmosphere, and golf Tonbo! An easy breezy binge that will leave you wanting more.
