NTE: The Complete Fishing Guide

Fishing is one of the most enjoyable activities in Neverness to Everness. Here's everything you need to know about this hobby.

How to get started on the Reflection Quest

On the Reflection Quest at NTE

You can trigger the quest at the bridge crossing near the waterfall area Hankaku Street. Two NPCs, called Excited Girl and Excited Girl, are discussing rumors about a magical mirror that shows the future. Listen to their conversation to officially start the side quest.

This quest is only available after progressing through Prologue II and unlocking the scooter. If the NPCs don't appear, continue the main story until the good trade, good treasure is complete and rest in the dorm.

Here are all the objectives in this quest:

  • A vintage shop mirror

  • Not a mirror

  • Could it be a collection?

  • The owner of the washbasin

A vintage shop mirror

The first objective starts near the fountain area on Hankaku Street at the bridge crossing. Two girls are discussing rumors about a magic mirror that reveals the future. Listen to their conversation to officially start the side quest.

One girl absolutely believes the mirror anomaly is real, while another thinks it might be connected to some sort of parallel world phenomenon. This short interaction sets up the mystery behind the entire quest.

After listening to the conversation, your next destination becomes Good Joe's Vintage Shop. Go there and talk to Good Joe inside the building. He claims to own the famous mirror that everyone is talking about, but the conversation quickly starts to sound suspicious.

The shop owner seems more interested in making money from curious customers than proving that the mirror is genuine.

Not a mirror

Once you exit the vintage shop, another conversation is automatically triggered nearby. Two students standing outside continue to discuss the so-called “Miracle Mirror” but they reveal something interesting. According to them, the object that everyone is looking for may not actually be a mirror.

Purpose updates and sends to Golden Apple collection hall in New Holland district. The museum is located 1.3 km northeast of the shop, so using a scooter or fast travel will help speed up the journey.

Inside the hall, find Dolores, the museum guide. Talk to her and ask about the mysterious “Miracle Container” when the dialogue option appears. Dolores explains that there is nothing matching the rumors currently on display at the museum, but she remembers hearing about a strange washbasin linked to a similar anomaly.

After speaking with Dolores, Miguel continues the investigation towards the district. Another lead points you to a grocery store owner named Cookie, who is believed to have a mysterious washbasin.

Travel west through the Golden Apple Collection Hall until you reach the Strange Eats grocery store. Enter the shop and talk to Cookie behind the counter.

Initially, the cookie assumes you are there as a regular customer. Keep asking about the rumors until she finally accepts the basin and reluctantly lets you examine it. He warns you not to spread the word about it after you've done it.

The basin itself is located inside the shop near the corner to the right of the counter. Interact with it to start the next part of the quest.

You must fill the basin with water before real interaction is available.

After filling the washbasin with water, interact with it once more to trigger the reflection scene. Instead of showing your current character as normal, the water reveals an alternate version of Asper Zero with the opposite gender. This confirms that the rumors surrounding the anomaly were partially true.

Once the cutscene ends, talk to Cookie again to completely finish the In the Reflection quest.

On the reflection quest reward

One of the biggest rewards from In Reflection is the Switch Ratings feature in the Settings menu under the “Other” tab.

Once unlocked, you can change the hero's gender at any time from the settings menu. Unlike many cosmetic systems in other games, there are no additional costs involved in this feature. You can swap freely after every 24 hours in the game.

The quest also awards 50 Bridge Crossing Footprint Points, which help increase regional completion progress in an area.
