Its international release took place soon after in August 2026, and it enjoyed a long run in theaters. In Japan, Infinity Castle ended its theatrical run only on April 4, 2026. It has been barely a month since its theatrical screening ended, and yet, it has been officially announced that it is back in theaters once again.
Now it has been officially confirmed by Eigkan that Infinity Castle will open in theaters in Japan on June 12th. Its return will last a week, before it leaves theaters again on June 18, 2026. Why Infinity Castle could return to more countries
Infinity Castle Before its official release on streaming services and Blu-Ray and DVDs, the film's return to Japan was major news for fans who wanted to experience it once again in theaters. That being said, Japan may not be the only country to enjoy this privilege. For one, Mexico currently has a re-release for Infinity Castle that started on May 14 and will end on May 19, 2026.
Other countries may see the return of the film, possibly before it is released outside of cinemas. North America is definitely a big candidate to get the movie back, and it could happen anytime before June 2026. The return of Infinity Castle will give the series one final nudge at the box office, and further strengthen its position.
Demon Slayer's Future After Part 1
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 experienced phenomenal success. Globally, it even beat its predecessor, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. The future of the franchise is bright, especially since Part 1 was just the beginning of the trilogy and Part 2 is officially on the way.
Currently, Infinity Castle Part 2 is expected for a 2027 release. The Kokushibo and Doma fights will be featured in this movie, and they will be as iconic as the Akaja fight. Lastly will be Infinity Castle Part 3, which is theorized to be released sometime in 2029, though it's hard to say for sure right now. The final battle against Muzan will become one of the most legendary matches in shonen anime, and fans can't wait for it.
