Bhagwan Laufe Fan Spot Interesting environmental details that tie into the lore

God of War Laufey appears to have removed interaction markers throughout the Norse games, which actually makes a lot of sense within the canon of the series.

Although it hasn't really been a long time since the last big God of War game, last week's reveal of the showstopping God of Laufey, a brand-new game that focuses on Kratos' wife Fei in the afterlife of Gods, was still a big moment for fans. The reveal trailer gave us enough footage to get excited about, while also leaving plenty of mysteries for fans to speculate about.

Since the reveal of God of War Laufey, fans have been watching the lengthy reveal trailer and trying to figure out as much as they can about the game, from the fan's mysterious new weapon to the identities of the divisive Frank and Roo. While we wait for the answers to those mysteries, an eagle-eyed fan has spotted a very interesting detail about the atmosphere attached to the Norse games.

Lord of War Laufe has removed environmental markers, and this fits the bill

Faye can't leave clues to herself

On the God of War subreddit, Redditor JaxTheNukaEXE pointed out that gameplay footage of God of War Laufey is completely missing the interaction markers littered throughout the environment in the Norse games. With the god's equivalent of yellow paint nowhere to be seen, Faye is left to figure out where to board herself.

While you could call this simply a response to the criticisms that those games received for being too much for the core players, JaxTheNukaEXE pointed out that it actually makes a lot of sense within the canon of God of War. In the Norse games, interaction markers are said to have been left by the Fae (and perhaps other giants) to help guide Kratos and Atreus on their journey.

If you're worried about accessibility, I'm sure Laufey will have his own unique version of interaction markers that we didn't see at the reveal.

This is Faye's first time in Everwen, and she's usually the one to leave these signs to help others, so it makes a lot of sense that they're suddenly nowhere to be seen in Laufey. Of course, on a gameplay level, this is explained by Faye being able to jump whenever she wants, but it's cool that it's also connected to the god of war.
