A Lego A Pikachu minifigure has been spotted in the wild for the first time. The leaked character is expected to launch as one of Lego's most expensive Pokemon Later date set in 2026.
Officially announced in early 2025, the collaboration between LEGO and The Pokemon Company yielded exactly 15 products in the first half of 2026, excluding gift-with-purchase promotions. The lineup was split between larger brick-built models and smaller ones. Pokemon Sets that support LEGO's new Smart Brick platform. So far, none of the product groups have included minifigures. However, reports of Pokemon Minifigs in development have been circulating online since late winter, and several sets said to include them are now expected to hit store shelves in the second half of 2026.

Pikachu first seen with LEGO minifig classic inspiration
The LEGO Pikachu minifigure appeared online in early July 2026 via a real-life photo. The image shows a simple, smiling Pikachu figure whose design is largely based on the character's late 1990s anime look, with a rounder, more compact body than the modern mascot version. The figure is molded in an upright pose, with its small forelegs placed in a neutral position near its chest. Its black-tipped ears and lightning-bolt tail complete the recognizable silhouette, although the proportions look deliberately toy-like and slightly chibi-style rather than completely screen-accurate. The emergence of the image mirrors an earlier leak of a LEGO Eevee minifigure from March 2026.
The Pikachu Minfig reportedly debuted as part of an expensive Poke Ball set
Both Pikachu and Eevee minifigs are rumored to debut as part of the Iconic Trainer Moments: Poke Ball LEGO set. Identified by product number 72154, the upcoming set is described as a giant poke ball that opens to reveal a diorama-like scene inside. In addition to Eevee and Pikachu, it is said to include three more minifigs: Red, Professor Oak, and Picnicker (Gen 1 trainer class). The set is rumored to have a $259.99 price tag.
While LEGO Pokemon Leaks were plentiful in the first half of 2026, not identifying any sets expected to feature Pikachu or Eevee minifigures. That doesn't mean the characters never appear in another, cheaper set. However, LEGO may be holding off on releasing them with more affordable products. Given the current lack of leaks hinting at such sets, Iconic Trainer Moments: Poke Ball may be the only way to get a LEGO Pikachu or Eevee minifigure until at least 2027.

The rest of the Danish toymaker's summer 2026 lineup is expected to meet its original August 1 release date. At least some of the larger sets from this batch are likely to be offered for pre-order, meaning LEGO could announce them in the first half of July 2026 to give fans enough time to order. At least one other LEGO Pokemon A minifigure expected to debut later this summer: Zinnia, who is rumored to be part of the 72168 Rayquaza set launching on August 1st.
