Exodus fans call for a major character redesign

Many people already have high hopes for the departure. This sci-fi RPG is developed by Archetype, a studio created by former BioWare devs, so many are seeing it as a spiritual successor to the Mass Effect series.

So, many were disappointed when it was confirmed that the character creator would be more limited than Mass Effect. The devs have confirmed that we will have “curate options” when designing our own June Aslan, with the following customization options open to us: “hair style, facial hair, hair color, eye color, makeup, and tattoos.”

Of course, the worst part about this is that those who wanted to build their character, or perhaps a character that looked a little bit more, will no longer be able to do so. But there's another group of fans who are disappointed – those who think the default has been cut.

Exodus fans want the game redesigned before launch

Fans were already complaining that the previews we've seen are a bit off about the animation of Zune's face. Now, fans are not at all keen on her presence. It's surprising, because we've just found out that we're probably stuck with this facade, so everybody's going to be very critical now.

To make matters worse, we still haven't gotten a good look at Lady June. The devs have assured us that he exists, but all previews so far have focused on Dude-Jun. Granted, it's actually something Mass Effect shares, at least before the third game when the femcep was finally allowed to shine.

Given that Exodus is launching next year, I wouldn't expect any kind of drastic redesign – especially since they still seem to be putting the finishing touches on the female protagonist. However, knowing how limited our options will be, fans will have very high expectations; There will be no fixing in the character creator.
