Not only did he fight Gozo, he also fought many magicians after him. He made many binding promises in this Amark and, once again, it just showed that his grip on cursed energy was absolutely level. Sukuna was Gojo's true equal, and even though he probably lost the battle without the Ten Shadows, his overall knowledge of cursed energy was superior.

Sukuna showed such incredible control over his technique that he continued to battle even as he faced one magician after another. In the end, it took the collective effort of every magician to defeat him, but without luck, it was impossible to win the battle.
