Long before humanity emerged from the primordial dung, there was a place called the Void, where Jack of Blades lived along with the Queen of Blades and the King of Blades. Later, they would return to claim their rights, and once again, the people rejected them, prompting the courts to send a great flood. Finally, they returned a third time, and a third time kicked out: the court sent a wave of madness across the country. This time, the people were discouraged, and thus began the long tyranny of the court in Albion.

However, without his sword, hidden by William Black, his power would have been greatly reduced. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but it's worth tempering expectations for the return of Jack of Blades, if giant IPs capitalize on nostalgia for cheap or scandalous thrills. A certain iconic space opera franchise comes to mind here, but I digress. The point is, Blades' Jack might come back with little more than some predictable fan service, perhaps rehashing his role from the original or, worse, being used for a shallow twist, like the revelation that it's not the real Jack, or that he's actually the misunderstood Mopar. handled incorrectly, fableRecreations of Jack of Blades can backfire, undermining the character's original importance.
