Ubisoft says 2026 will be light on major releases outside of Assassin's Creed

After the release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag resynced, Ubisoft has confirmed that the rest of 2026 will feature a lighter lineup of major releases than previous years. Ubisoft has been in the midst of a major restructuring for the past few years as the publisher continues to piece together how it moves forward with its biggest franchises.

Ubisoft confirms delayed release schedule before major franchises return

As part of Ubisoft's recent 2026 fiscal report (via GamesRadar ), the company expects a light release calendar for the rest of the fiscal year, from fiscal 2026 through March 31, 2027, when the fiscal year ends. There is only one major premium release left for the company to launch Rayman Legends Retold As of October, nothing is planned yet for spring 2027. However, Ubisoft said it has “significantly larger” years planned for the next few financial cycles, spanning from 2027 to 2029, during which each of its major franchises will return. Publisher remains committed to producing future entries Assassin's Creed, Ghost Reconand cry away franchise, with cry away Especially getting a huge series of leaks recently. Still, there's no word on the status of smaller projects or Ubisoft's various development-hell projects, e.g Good and bad 2 and Splinter cell Remake.
