How to start Splash Whale Hunt

Splash Whale Hunt is available after you unlock the underwater area in Whalefall Canyon. During the program, Mr. Naughty presents a special collection challenge which asks players to photograph hidden splash whales scattered across the underwater map.

Taking pictures is only half of the purpose. Each whale also has a nearby floating shell bubble that can be collected to unlock that whale as a house decoration.

A new Splash Whale is added every day, so the program rewards players who check in regularly.

Light Blue Splash Whale (Day 1)

Once you take a picture of it, turn right to face the window. Swim towards nearby pink coral formations to find a matching Light Blue Splash Whale Bubble floating nearby.

The Green Splash Whale sits on top of an underwater portal.

As you sink deeper into the ocean, turn around and look up at the portal entrance. Take a photo before swimming past the portal, where the green splash whale bubble is. It's easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled for the entrance instead of looking back.

Orange Splash Whale Spot (Day 3)

The Orange Splash Whale can be found on the ground floor inside the DG campaign base camp. Look between the entrance and the staircase where it is in the center of the coral decoration.

After taking a photo, just turn around. An orange splash whale bubble floats behind you.

Yellow Splash Whale Spot (Day 4)

A yellow splash whale pops up inside a bright yellow coral north of base camp where players first meet Oliver in the underwater storyline.

A matching bubble can be found west of the base camp. Swim around the rocky seamounts until you see a floating shell bubble. If you're already completing Oliver's quests, you'll practically find it on the way.

Purple Splash Whale Spot (Day 5)

The Purple Splash Whale is sitting on the base camp patio next to the table where Atara usually stands.

Olivine Splash Whale Spot (Day 6)

Olivine Splash Whale can be found inside the transparent balcony attached to the base camp. Continue swimming upwards until you reach the balcony and the picture of the whale.

Once you're done, stay close as the Olivine Splash Whale bubble floats around the balcony. You don't have to travel elsewhere for collection.

Gray Splash Whale Spot (Day 7)

The Gray Splash Whale can be found on the table between Azure and Annie inside the base camp.

Once you've taken the required photo, swim past the tallest tower in the camp. You'll find an alcove tucked into the rocks where a Gray Splash Whale Bubble is floating.

Cyan Splash Whale Spot (Day 8)

Cyan Splash Whale is hiding behind Annie near the underwater base camp.

Pass Annie to the blue coral area to find a whale resting there.

After taking your picture, continue swimming towards the nearby rock formation on the left. A cyan splash whale bubble floats around these rocks in a continuous loop, so wait a few seconds if you don't spot it right away.

Pink Splash Whale Spot (Day 9)

The Pink Splash Whale is found on the Coral Way before entering the Whalefall.

Look for pink coral ledges nestled in the middle of the narrow Coral Way path. The whale blends into the surrounding coral, making it the most difficult to spot.

After photographing it, swim directly to shore behind the whale on the east side. The matching shell bubble makes the platform spin in a loop until it is collected.

Azure Splash Whale Spot (Day 10)

Found on the blue coral outside the northern corner of Coral Way.

Found in blue coral, on the back of a whale on its right hand.

FAQs

Why can't I find today's Splash Whale?

New whales are unlocked one day per event. If the latest whale does not appear, your server may not have reached the next daily reset yet. To check your server and find out when the reset time is, make sure to read our guide on when do shops and daily resets on Hartopia?

Can I collect old splash whales later?

yes As long as the program is still active, previously released Splash Whales remain available, allowing you to catch up if you missed the previous days. We tried to catch all 10 today and had no problems, so even if you try it on the 15th, you'll be fine and still get the rewards. However, we recommend not to miss this quest as it is very easy, and you get to keep nice furniture items.
