Washington: The White House will grant deportation relief and work permits to an estimated 11,500 Lebanese citizens already in the US because of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, US President Joe Biden said in a memo on Friday. The measure under the authority, known as Deferred Enforced Departure, would allow Lebanese citizens to stay in the U.S. for up to 18 months, renewable.
