The Battlefield series went toe-to-toe with Call of Duty in the military first-person shooter genre. It delivered some great titles in terms of both campaign and multiplayer, but saw a major decline with the rough launch of Battlefield 2042. While Battlefield 1 is widely considered the last good game in the series, the real pinnacle was in the Bad Company days.

The Battlefield series continues with Bad Company 2
A love letter to DICE's offbeat spin-offs.
Bad Company 1 and 2 were more campaign-focused, and told the story of a rag-tag army company with great chemistry and some memorable characters, similar to Captain Price, Soap, and the gang from Call of Duty. While we never got a third installment in the Battlefield: Bad Company series, lead designer David Goldfarb would love to work on one.
“I'm here”
Speaking to PCGamesN, Goldfarm, who now works at Metal Hellsinger's studio, The Outsiders, said that if EA ever got around to making Bad Company 3, he would jump at the chance to work on it.
“I'm here,” Goldfarb said. “They know where I am if they want to do one.” While he reiterated that he would love to work on Bad Company 3, he is currently committed to The Outsiders, who is currently working on an unannounced project. However, he explained why Bad Company was such a great game at the time.
“I think the Bad Company franchise was special because it didn't take itself as seriously as a lot of other games.” He explained. “It prioritized fun and it was perfectly fine the way it was. My personal angle was always to make it. What I liked, so Bad Company 2 was a lot of Raiders of the Lost Ark as a buddy picture, and leaned heavily on multiplayer rush because that's what I most liked
“I can't speak for anyone else, but I know there was a collective feeling that we had our own identity for Bad Company, weird or not, and we were going to have fun making it. It's really a miracle that we got to do it. .”
Goldfarb revealed that he had already started writing Battlefield: Bad Company 3 and knew where it would be set. However, he doesn't think a new game in the series will be approved today.
“Like all these places, that's why we don't see games like that anymore, because economics and risk aversion and all that can't drive people away from it. In many ways, bad. Company 2 was a perfect storm, although I don't know if we can do it again.” .
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
The sequel to the first Bad Company game in the Battlefield franchise from DICE and Electronic Arts, Bad Company 2 is a classic Battlefield FPS experience that features a single-player story campaign and an expansive multiplayer mode. Players can either take on the role of Preston Marlowe or fight against other players.
