Dead by Light: Every Survivor, Ranked
Each of Dead Light's survivors has unique perks that give them an edge against the Assassins, but some are better than others.
the best Dead by Daylight The benefits require the respective survivor to unlock them until they appear in the Temple of Mystery. But there are free perks, known as general perks, that appear in a character's blood web as part of the base game. They vary in utility, but there are sure to be many that grab the player's attention.
8 little game
A necessary addition to totem construction
- Receive an auditory warning when looking in the direction of totems at a 45° angle within 8/10/12 meters.
- Minigame has a cool-down of 14/12/10 seconds each time it activates.
- For each doll or hex totem cleared by either player, the minigame is automatically awarded 1 token.
- Each token decreases the detection cone angle by 5°, up to a minimum of 20°.
Totem builds are ideal for those who want to clean up those that have been hexed by an assassin, or if they want to have some boons to aid their fellow players. Even experienced players can forget the many possible totem spawns on the map and need some help tracking them down.
Crossover character Jill Valentine has a perk to help with this, but for those not willing to shell out real money for DLC, they can always use the normal perks mini game. With it equipped, they can follow audio cues to track blessings for blessing or cleansing.
7 Dark Sense
Track the killer even through obstacles
When the generator is complete, Dark Sense activates:
- A killer's aura is revealed to you for 5/7/10 seconds when they come within 24 meters of your location.
Knowing the killer's exact location can be crucial in helping survivors avoid them, or pursue them effectively. There are features associated with paid characters like Ada Wong that can help with this, but there's a common perk players can equip to gain aura-reading abilities specifically for an assassin.

Dead Bylight: Aura Reading Perks Survivors need to be aware of
If the survivors want to succeed in Dead by Light, they will need to pay attention to these dangerous aura reading features.
After completing the generator, when coming within 24 meters of the killer's location, the survivor will see their aura for a maximum of 10 seconds, allowing them to run or hide depending on their playstyle.
6 It's not happening
Increase the odds of landing a great skill check
- Increases the success area of excellent skill checks when repairing and healing by 10/20/30% while injured.
Large efficiency checks are necessary to maintain the generator more efficiently, but less experienced players may have some trouble hitting them reliably, and even veteran players have their off days. For those not so confident in their skills with those landings, there is a benefit to give them a boost.
This makes the area larger for larger skill checks, making them much easier to hit. The only drawback is that players need to be injured to benefit from it, but that makes it perfect to pair with other features like flexibility.
5 hope
The better the chances of escape
Once the exit gates are powered, hope Activates:
- Provides a permanent 5/6/7% haste status effect.
Once the exit gates are ready to open, the game really ratchets up. Survivors can almost taste their freedom, and killers can almost taste the blood of their last victim. Both sides will work themselves harder and harder for victory.
In an effort to better their chances of escape, survivors can equip one of the most underrated features in the game, which is Hope. It's simple in what it does, but it makes good on its promise, providing a rush to those equipped after all generators have been completed, or the last survivor standing and the assassin has closed the hatch. This greatly improves your chances of escaping the trail alive.
4 No one is left behind
One last push to get everyone out alive
- Increases healing and unhooking speed by 30/40/50%.
- Increases the haste status effect of unhooked survivors by 7%.
- The auras of the other survivors are revealed.
- Grants 50/75/100% bonus bloodpoints for actions in the Charity category.
Once the fall of the endgame comes around, it's the final push for both the survivor and the killer. The survivors can make their bid to escape with their lives and the lives of their teammates intact, and it's time for the assassins to secure last-minute sacrifices.
For those feeling particularly adventurous and altruistic, they can redouble their efforts like no one is left behind, which can help them save last minute. Now they can unhook and heal faster to give the assassin more time to win, and they get more blood points for their efforts.
3 Flexibility
Now being injured benefits the survivor
- Speeds up Repair, Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening and Unlocking by 3/6/9% when injured.
In general, injuries do not benefit the player in any way as it makes them shrill, leaves a pool of blood that the killer can follow, and brings them one step closer to being hooked. Players should generally try to heal as quickly as possible before they burn another health condition, but resilience offers another way.

Dead by Dead Light: 7 Iconic Horror Places That Must Be Added
With the abundance of horror movies, games, and TV, some iconic and terrifying locations deserve to be mapped in Dead Bylight.
Players benefit when wounded, as they now get a bonus to everything other than their movement speed, which can increase their survivability, and make them an all-around more useful teammate.
2 a relative
Aura-Reading Perk Perfect for solo play
Whenever a survivor is hooked, a relative Activates and applies the following effects:
- The killer's aura is revealed to all survivors when the killer comes within 8/12/16 meters of the hook.
- If you're a Hooked Survivor, all Survivors manifest into each other.
- If you are not a Hooked Survivor, only the saws of all other Survivors are revealed to you.
Solo play puts survivors at a huge disadvantage, as they can't use voice chat to coordinate their efforts and share important information like the killer's location. But there are features that can help mitigate this, such as relatives.
Kindred opens up aura-reading possibilities for survivors, especially those who are hooked. Now survivors can see if the killer is camping, proxy-camping, or leaving the area, leaving it safe to go unhooked.
1 we make
A clutch treat bonus
After unhooking another survivor, we activate it:
- Increases Charitable healing speed by 100% for 30/60/90 seconds.
One of the more useful actions survivors can take in the game is healing. They can heal themselves or heal others for free with the use of certain special features or med kits. Without any additions, healing others can be a slow and difficult process, leaving them vulnerable to being interrupted by a killer.
Thankfully, there are ways that players can offset slow healing, using med kits or features like we're making it. A survivor needs to unhook another to benefit from the increase in their healing speed, which is actually important, doubling it to 90 seconds, so they can use this feature on multiple survivors at once.
