Dubai: Sudan's government has conditionally accepted an invitation to participate in US-sponsored peace talks in Geneva, Sudan's foreign ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. Sudan has asked to meet with US officials to prepare for peace talks, the statement said. Fighting between the Sudanese National Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which began in April 2023, has displaced more than one million people in what the United Nations has called the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
